While the Cat's Away

I can believe it's been almost a week since I posted anything on my blog, the time has just flown by. It's been really lovely and relaxing here for the past few days, hubby's up at our country property playing with his tractor. While he's been gone, Pooklet came over for a dolly day which was great fun. We were so engrossed in chatting, playing, planning future purchases we completely forgot to take any photos . . . now how dumb is that?! Speaking of photos, I will be doing a post later on her beautiful knitting, (I got spoilt with a lovely jumper for Nadia and three little boleros for my sweeties), now I'm just waiting for her to get a few dolly things posted in her shop.

I've been buying more fabrics, doing a little sewing and buying more dolls. Having said that, my friend Willoughby will be pleased to know I BOUGHT A BONNIE at long last (from DOA) and she will be on her way tomorrow. It almost wasn't to be, as I was to be put on a waiting list, which at first I was pretty disappointed and upset about, and I almost ordered one from Fairyland, but those on the list backed out, so I figure she was really meant to be mine. :)

She has a default face and doesn't have any eyelashes, she does however have little horns, so that's a bonus. I doubt if she will wear them, biscuit elves don't usually have horns, do they?

Anyway, I'm pleased I finally have my elves for my Cookie Jar family organised, along with their lovely outfits which are on their way from Russia. I can crochet and knit, but when it comes right down to it, Anna does a much better job, I'm so pleased with the way these look. The bottom row have a gold thread running through the cotton, so they will go well with the sparkling boots I have for them (providing the colours don't clash).

Well it's almost dinner time so that's your lot for now.

  1. OMG - yay! You have a Bonnie coming! They are the cutest, but you know I;m biased :) I love those knitted overalls, too - I actually have favourited them on Etsy because I want to get some in the future (when I have spare cash, and a permanent address and all that jazz...) Hope you're keeping well!

    1. Hee hee, they do look a little like snails don't they? She's lookin' a little funny at present without any hair, eyelashes or clothes, but she'll brush up okay. :)

  4. Welcome to the Bonnie Brigade!

Those horns are adorable. You could always paint them up to be scrolls or something :P
(or buy another puki to wear them :P)
