Coco

Do you have a pet? We do, he's a Shih Tzu x Poodle and he's very smart. Today, for a little light relief from dolls, I thought I'd share some photos of our boy, just being himself.

Here he is enjoying a run round our property at Beechworth.

Swimming in our waterhole.

At home, playing a concerto.

Opening his presents at Christmas time.

Singing Christmas carols.

Begging for a biscuit.

Bringing in his brush for grooming.

Enjoying the grooming.

And about to have his bath.

Hope you enjoyed meeting our little bundle of fluff.

  1. Aww what a cutie. The dog I had growing up as a kid was this same breed I think. It brings back fond memories. Pets are just adorable and they always love you unconditionally.

Thanks for sharing your photos of Coco.

    1. Yes Alasse, they do love you unconditionally, but this one occasionally bites the hand that feeds him!! Mine!! But I love him all the same and wouldn't part with him. We were told about his problem when we brought him home, and he has become much more settled since being with us.

  3. Hi Sandi!

I love this post, Coco is so sweet and beautiful. He's lucky to have found a family who loves him as much.

It's nice to see that he enjoys grooming, you know that I'm studying dog grooming (I end next month and will officially be a dog groomer!) and I have seen dogs that hate grooming XD

    Greetings ^^

    1. Hi Lily,
I thought you would being such a dog lover yourself. He's become quite the litttle cuddler these past few months and he knows exactly how to manipulate me. :)

At grooming time, we ask him if he want a brush and he immediately runs to the laundry where his grooming stuff is kept and waits until hubby gives him his brush to bring in. Sometimes he drops it on the floor and tries to brush himself by rolling on the brush, he's so funny. :)

Not long to go then, you know we will expect some photos.

  5. Aww He's the cutest!!! I never had a pet growing up so I don't have any now because I wouldn't know what to do .-...... If I ever live truly alone or with a partner that likes dogs, I would get one though. But I would do the same I did before purchasing my first doll: lots of research :D!
Love the photos, they made me smile~

    1. Hi Alejandra,
Oh there is nothing quite like having a dog, they are wonderful companions. Coco is always making me laugh. I have allergies, so we had to have a dog that didn't shed hair and his breed is perfect.

    1. Thanks Irene. I had a horse when I was ten, but we had to sell him when we moved, so I understand how you must feel without your cats and pony.

  7. Awww he's so cute! What a sweet boy and a lovely bunch of photos of him. I have 5 small dogs, (4 x Chihuahuas and 1 Miniature Pinscher), a Blue Headed Pionus parrot and 2 budgies. I would have more animals if we had the room.
Thanks so much for sharing your lovely boy with us....and he plays the piano beautifully ;)

    1. Thanks Sharon. We think he is very photogenic. :) Wow five, thank heavens they are small eh? Though I know from experience those Chihuahuas think they are ten foot tall, hee hee. You should share some pics of yours when you get a chance.

  8. Holy cow! Coco is one adorable little pup!

I haven't had any pets since my last cat passed in 2004. I love critters but I kind of became the family's "Grim Reaper of Pets" in that I usually had to take them to the vet to be put to sleep and/or take care of them when they were ill. It's become rather difficult for me to have pets of my own as a result.
    I have toddlers though! LOL

    1. Yes GT and doesn't he know it! LOL! Oh how terrible for you, it's an awful thing when you have to put pets down and can leave one feeling extremely guilty.

Yes, I suppose you must be grateful for your little rug rats (meant in the nicest way).

  9. Ahhhh what a cutie! He looks so happy :) I do have a pet, I have a border terrier called Poppy :) She is my baby <3 I am very lucky to have her in BJD form too. I did a trade with DaisyDayes for a doll I was selling and she made me two of her BJD puppies, one of which was modelled on my very own Poppy.

    1. Thanks Sam,
We gave him a bath yesterday and I trimmed him today as it's been really muggy in Melbourne and the heat gets to him a bit. He's very good when being trimmed, I actually think he just loves the attention. As soon as I mention getting a haircut to him, he jumps up on my old coffee table where I trim him. :)

Hope you & the family are well.

    1. Yes, he is gorgeous Carolyn and he knows it. Plus he's awfully spoilt. He not only has the run of our 53 acre farm when we are at Beechworth, he has a walk twice a day through the park across the road from where we live.

He wears a tag on his collar that says "Born To Be Free", but he is anything but free to feed, he has such an appetite and doesn't eat just anything, he likes his steak, chicken or lamb with veges. LOL!
