First Order for 2016

Okay, I actually placed the order on the 28th December, but I count her as the first order for 2016. :) I don't know how many of you have seen these dolls, but they have the most wonderful faces, full of expression and when grouped together they really do look like a bunch of little kids.

Expected delivery date is around the beginning of April. I think the name Tuppence suits her and you can bet your boots she won't be the last from this artist, providing all runs smoothly. I am definitely going to need a Penny or a Ha'penny, and maybe a Shilling or a Thruppence . . . oh dear, where on earth will this end?? :)

You can see more of his YOSD sized dolls here, but I found it difficult to join the website. So I just emailed the artist directly with my order, he responded quickly and let me know via email that he had received my payment successfully. His English is not too bad, understandable and extremely courteous.

There is also a discussion group on DoA here and a waiting room here.

I am also waiting on two PukiFees from Fairyland (ordered in November), a tan Cupid and a normal skin Zio to use as a fairy sister for Wi and Pi. They should with luck, arrive at the beginning of February.

    1. Thanks Alejandra,
I thought so too, she really spoke to me.

Am thinking I would like her to stay cute and girly, pretty in pink. What's "patience"? Never heard of the word. LOL!! I am so wanting her home . . . like yesterday.

    1. Hi Linda,
Isn't it refreshing to see dolls like these? I love them all, but I must be strong, must be strong, must be strong. I keep telling myself that, but these little ones somehow seem to worm their way in. :)

    1. Hi Irene,
They are so very tempting aren't they. I have a long wait, but if this year passes as quick as last year, she will be here sooner than I expected. :) Hope so anyway.

  5. Ooooh congrats on the new order! I looked at these dolls a while back when they first appeared on Nine9style but before I even knew the artist had his own website.

They're really cute and I love the name you chose for your incoming doll. I've always had a soft spot for the Paprika sculpt myself.

Here's to hoping the FL orders come fast and the wait isn't too incredibly long!

Thank you, she is really sweet so I couldn't pass on her. There's a little wait to go yet.

  8. What a little cutie! I've not seen or heard of these dolls before but you're right, they do indeed look like a real bunch of kids. She reminds me a little of the older Custom House dolls before the company went 'pear shaped' and had so many problems...just something about her face, which is really lovely! I used to love those CH dolls back then!
I look forward to seeing her feature here on your blog when she arrives :)

    1. Thanks Sharon,
They are new to me as well, so I am really keeping my fingers crossed that there are no hiccups or long delays. I would like to add a couple more of them to my collection, but I'm going to wait to see how this order progresses.

I can't say I've seen any CH dolls although I have heard of the.

Don't worry I will certainly post lots of photos of this little one. :)

  9. Hello Sandi!

Congrats for the order. The girl is beautiful and looks pretty sweet despite those sporty outfits. We'll see what your plans for her are ;)

I remember to have seen these dolls a long time ago, Garlic is my favourite one.

    Greetings ^^

    1. Thank you so much Lily. I know girls aren't your thing, so coming from you that is such a compliment. :)

Garlic is a real cutie and maybe down the track I will put together three little boys.
