The Meeting

It was a cold day and there was snow still laying on the ground outside, but Emmaline decided to dare the cold to go play in the park. It wasn't long before she met Finch who was taking his dog for a ride in his go-cart.

Emmaline: Hello Finch, do you want to play ball?

Finch: Not today Emma, Gilbert has been inside far too long, so I am taking him for a ride to get him out of the house..

Emmaline: Is Gilbert sick?
Finch: No he's just lazy and likes to sleep in front of the fire all day.

Emmaline: Well shouldn't you make him walk and get some exercise then?
Finch: Yes, but when I put him on the lead he just sits down on the snow and doesn't move. Of course, then he ends up getting a wet behind.
Emmaline: Oh dear, what a conundrum.

She gently gave Gilbert a little shake.

Emmaline: Come on Gilbert, wake up you old sleepy head, come and play ball!

But Gilbert didn't move a muscle, he just lay there in the cart snoring.

Hope you are all having a great day!

    1. Thanks Alejandra. I love Finch and I think they are going to make a nice couple, Finch just has to get over his shyness. LOL! Did you know he wants to be a Vet?

  3. Looks like Gilbert is a heavy sleeper! You and your eye for great props and backdrops! After you said that last one was actually a backdrop, I was stunned. You really know how to photograph them so that they look almost real!

    I love their outfits!

    1. I think I'm getting better Alasse. I could probably do with some lighting to help remove the shadows, but I'm also a little bit lazy and often without a lot of patience when it comes to photography. I do like using the backdrops though, I'm not as agile as I used to be and find it difficult taking outdoor shots.

Some parts of their outfits come from Iplehouse. :)

    1. Thank you Musume. I don't think one can ever have enough props, my biggest problem is working out the best way to store them. If I put them in a box, then I forget what I have. Or worse, I remember what I have, but forget where I've put the darn box!! LOL!

I quite enjoy doing these mini stories, sometimes the photos determine the dialogue and other times it's the other way round. :) I'm glad you enjoy them too.

  7. If you ask me, snoring through it is definitely the best way to deal with snow!!!
I love the kids in their warm winter clothes and little Emmaline even looks like she has those rosy cheeks that come from being in the cold....very sweet the pair of them!

    1. Yes, snow looks lovely when it's fresh, but it's awfully cold and soon turns to slush, so I'm totally with you. :)
      Thank you so much.

  8. Hi Sandi!

What an adorable story and your kids are really well dressed. Love their hats.

Gilbert should do more exercise and playing in the snow, isn't good for his health to sleep so much XD

    Greetings ^^

    1. Thank you Lily, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I am becoming a little more adventurous with my photography now. Yes, Gilbert is very lazy and should get out and about more, bit like my Coco . . . he stays in most of the day, but he does have a morning and evening walk in the park. :)
