Warming Up

I'm not speaking of the weather here . . . it's just about me finally warming up to doing a face-up on my Legolas (Doll Family-A Julian). To really get me in the mood I took a few photos of him today with Theron.

They are my only male dolls, apart from the three Thunderbird boys.

Legolas is my Chief Guardian of the Elvin Forest. I left his wig this length because I want to plait (braid) and style it properly.

Eventually I intend to make him suitable Elvin costumes to wear. One formal outfit in white brocade and the other a more rustic outfit, which will be suitable for hunting. However, these clothes will have to do in the interim.

    1. I hope not too pretty Alejandra. I don't want him to look gitly. You haven't seen any because I keep wiping them and procrastinating over redoing them, but I promise you some soon. ;)

Me too, but he needs some attention.

  3. These photos are great with such an extreme contrast in the two resins, really effective.
I look forward to seeing his new faceup when you're done with him :)

  4. Oh, I am so excited to see your Legolas come to life. I really like the white shirt he is wearing. The ruffles are great.
That beautiful long mane will be interesting to braid too. I can't wait to see what you make for him!

    1. Ah so, you are still alive and kicking then Sam? You have been missed.

Yes, I thought it really was about time this guy was finished, he has been very patient with me thus far. Although I like him in his ruffles, it's not what I intended for him long term. The wig is going to take some time to get right and will eventually be much shorter.

      Thank for dropping by, hugs,

  7. Your boys are very handsome, I do quite like how they're almost like dark & light ~ opposite colorings!

    1. Hi Niina,
Maybe I should come for a visit, I dislike the cold. LOL!
I don't know about that, but maybe he will when he's finished, I hope so. :)
