The New Boy on the Block

This is my new Wren (Iplehouse BID Peekaboo in light brown skin), I think he suits the image of the Thunderbird gang, much better than Naias ever did. He arrived yesterday, 14th June.

Even with his long hair (not sure about this wig, I may cut it) he still looks more boyish to me. He came with a lovely set of green eyes, so no need to change them. I was unsure what the face up would look like on this colour resin, but it's really nice and natural. I also love the way the blush emphasises his little chubby cheeks.

    1. Thank you Irene. This is darker than any tan skin I have had before, but I really love it. I was so lucky to get those eyes, I haven't had ones this light from IH before, I always seem to get sent dark ones, which often just photograph black.

  2. IH always does such lovely tan. I really like the tone. He really does look quite adorable. The chubby cheeks are so cute and what perfect eyes. They match that resin colour so well too. How do you find the posing on BIDs?

    1. Hi Alasse,
I have been so happy with both the light brown and the real skin from IH, but I probably have enough tan dolls now to last for a while. :) The BID's are not bad at posing, but the under bust can be a bit of a pain, especially when the dolls are close to needing to be re-strung!

  4. Hi Sandi!

He's beautiful, I like his grumpy face and looks boyish even with that long hair, you've done a good choice with him. That tan skin is really nice. That frog hat suits him, lol.

    Greetings ^^

    1. Hi Lily,
He does look a little grumpy and that was one of the things that drew me to him. I had a feeling he would appeal to you. :)

    1. Thanks Alejandra,
Thank you. It was a bit of a gamble ordering him in light brown as I hadn't seen him in that colour, but it was a gamble that paid off.

  7. What a cutie, he is! :D I love Iplehouse's tan resin. I have yet to see ebony in real life, sadly, but hopefully I can own one someday! I do, however have two dolls in their light brown and it's so gorgeous! Your boy looks so sweet with that expression ^^

    1. Hi Nikki,
Thank you. I haven't seen the ebony IRL either, but I haven't seen a doll that I'd like that dark either . . . maybe one day. But I really love him in light brown.

  8. He's lovely and very much a boy, I cannot imagine this sculpt as a girl but I'm sure that there are girls like him out there.

    1. Thank you so much Sharon. I have seen a couple of girls in this sculpt, but not in this colour. Personally I think he is much better as a little grumpy boy.
He says to thank you for the welcome. :)
