Food, Food and more Food!

Just a little taste of what Singapore can offer in the way of food.

The cakes & pastry photos were taken inside this shopping complex.

We found this place when we were looking for somewhere to have breakfast . . . the name made us laugh.

Meals below are from Crossroads Café. Beef cheeks with veg., Creamy mushroom pasta, Caesar salad with chicken, Sliders with salad & fries and an Asian poached chicken dish.

Buffet dinner at the Marriott Tang Plaza where we were staying. You simply chose what you felt like at the time. Going back for a second serve or having two desserts made you feel like the cost was worth it and besides it was fun!

When I showed my hubby he thought it was strange to eat watermelon with chicken, potatoes and greens . . . I didn't, it went quite well with them all and the fresh sweet watermelon was really tasty!

Above bread & butter pudding, mango & strawberry chef made ice-cream and a small selection of tiny indulgent treats.

Another breakfast at a local café . . . a little weird but it tasted okay.

Meals below are from the Food Opera at ION Orchard.

Hopefully I have whetted your appetites.

Back at Crossroads for a beer and a cocktail while we watched people pass by.

... and now I feel like I need some pancakes in my life. Now. Just... now :D

    1. I love food too Chiriann, especially when I don't have to cook it. The the small selection of deserts were really different and extremely enjoyable.

  2. Hi Xanadu! I hope everything was as delicious as it looks on these photos. That bun thing from the place with the fun name looks so yummy. And those deserts look incredible too! One of my favourite parts of travelling is actually trying new food, and I go prepared with a list of local dishes I want to try.
Wish you a nice week ahead!

    1. Oh it was MC. That Eggsluts breakfast bun was filled with bacon, egg and a creamy topping that tasted delicious. We tried lots of different dishes, but I forgot to photograph them all.
      Thanks, you too!

    1. Some people have really weird imagination, I mean who would have thought of calling a restaurant that? It works though, they had so many different egg meals to choose from and the place was busy.

  5. Great photos, and there's so much delicious food in them. Everything looks so beautifully arranged. It inspired me to create some lovely food for my dolls too.

  6. So much yummy foods! And my husband would say the same about the watermelon, but I think the sweetness gives the chicken or meatballs so much more taste!
    Big Hugs!
