Nadia Phan

Nadia arrived yesterday. I haven't received an IT doll for sometime and was immediately surprised by her red packaging when I removed it from her shipper. I'd forgotten how nicely IT present their dolls.

Inside, she was securely held in position by white satin ribbons. Her hands, knees and waist were protected by plastic wraps.

By her feet you can see her hat and cocktail glass. Her other accessories found inside the accompanying box, were earrings, three bracelets, a ring, long gloves, her beautifully detail shoes and an extra set of hands.

Nadia's CoA was found underneath the inner box and states she is #430 in an edition of 1000.

I am pleased with her face up as the heavy eyeliner (top & bottom) and her full red lips are much like the flappers wore in the day.

She stands quite well on her own in heels, which means I can leave her stand where it is in the box (I never really liked the IT stands). Since taking the following photo, I have added her jewellery, though I needed to open the holes in her ears to allow the earrings to go all the way through her vinyl.

The dress is far too short, as I thought it would be, so some changes to come there. She has so much potential though and I am really happy with her. To give you an idea of just how wonderful this doll could be, just take a look at this photo I found browsing the internet, where her owner has made better use of Nadia's long neck.

This is not my photo and I'd love to give credit to the person who took it, but the watermark is in Russian (I think) and very difficult to read.

Well that's all for today my lovelies, have a great weekend!

  1. Hi Xanadu! That's one gorgeous doll! I love the color palette she has, although I do agree that her skirt is a bit too short. Her lips have a beautiful color, and it reminds me of the colors the bougainvilleas have.

Wish you a lovely weekend ahead!

    1. Hi MC! I couldn't resist her, she is so perfect for my story. I think with the appropriate redressing she will be perfect. Yes, I agree the colour is very close to our bougainvillea's. LOL!

  3. She has a lovely 1920s feel, but that skirt is short, even more so for the era. I bet you will have lots of fun styling her.

    1. Thanks Barb, so glad you agree. I need to find another 1920's girl now that I'm in the mood to play with my White Panther Club diorama again. Oh I shall, I have just ordered a "1920s Fashion Sourcebook" to help me with that.

  4. Such a beautiful doll and a wonderful box! I love that the doll is articulated. I can imagine the amazing photos you'll capture with this doll. I was able to read the watermark on the last photo. It seems to be the name and surname of the author, as there's an "@" symbol, which might indicate a mention of the author's Instagram account.

    1. She is and I'm so pleased I found her, she will certainly be used in my story (when I get round to writing her segment) as she appears to be quite photogenic.
Thanks for the info, however, I don't have an Instagram account.

  5. Oooh, she's fantastic, and I absolutely adore her colors! She'll be perfect for the stage at White Panther Club! Awww, and with such legs, the skirt needs to be short ;). It would be a crime to hide them :D!

    1. I agree she has great legs Chiriann, but the length of the dresses in the 20's was just above the knee, and certainly not as high as her tush. LOL!

  6. Me too Linda, I think it really suits the era. The dress she came with is quite lovely and it was unfortunate it was so short.
