This will probably be my final post.
I never thought I’d see this day. I remember back when I began in 2009, it was an exciting time for blogging and I was posting several times a week. At that time there were many bloggers who also wrote frequently, but by the time I began writing this blog three and a half years later, some of those early bloggers had ended their blogs.
I remember thinking: "Why did they leave? Don’t they still love blogging about their hobbies?"
Often they just left without explanation, perhaps they wanted to move on to new things or maybe they just couldn't find the time to blog any longer. Now it seems there are even less blogs around. After all it does take a lot of time out of one's day, taking photos, editing them and deciding exactly what to write.
You will all find as you age, the days seem to get shorter and you simply cannot get done all the things you used to do, in the time it took when you were in your prime. Although I still enjoy writing my blog, I am at a crossroads and at this point in time I need to create space in my life; space where I can concentrate on things which really need to be completeted, like the two doll houses, the many UFO's and the inevitable clean out of all the unnecessary clutter I have collected over the years.
Some of you have been with me from the very beginning, while others have joined our group more recently. It has meant the world to me to share my dolls, my projects and waffle over the years, and to know there was someone out there in the world who was actually reading what I wrote.
To cut a long story short, the main thing I wanted to say today is “Thank You” and wish you all the very best for the future. I hope you will all continue to blog, for although I'll not be doing so myself, I'm sure I'll find a quiet moment or two to pop by and read what you are all getting up to.

ReplyDeleteI am sorry to read that you made this decision, but maybe you feel differently one day and the blog will still be there to continue where you left off. I wish you a happy new year and fun with your dolls.
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry to see that you won’t be continuing your blog. Your creativity is truly magical, and you create such beautiful outfits for your dolls. But I completely understand your decision and support you. I’m also trying to spend less time online and more time creating in my workshop, and I’ve stopped updating some of my blogs as well. Wishing you all the best on your journey 💗
