Something a Little Different

Well I have been in LaLa Land this week, carefully sorting through all my stashed stuff for just the right thing to make up into some costumes for some of my Elvin Forest folk. And find it I did!

I found a whole bag of assorted Angelina Fibre that I purchased from Joggles long ago, unfortunately I won't be able to re-order any as they no longer stock it, which is a bit of a bummer. However, some had been used, but the rest was put into the storage bin and forgotten about, until now. Luckily for me, I still have most of the colours.

My first attempt was to blend a little of the Butterfly Blue, Peacock Green, Mint Sparkle and Crystal Mother of Pearl together ~ this being the result.

With my second attempt, I used Forest Blaze, Gold Iris, with just the slightest touch of Mint Sparkle.

I just love how these have turned out, they look even prettier IRL and I am now looking forward to making costumes for Jax the bunny and Brice the bear.

  5. This looks interesting and admittedly I'm on my iphone so the photos are small, but what on earth is this stuff, I've never heard of it before! But it looks like you're making up your own lovely fabric/fibre? Is that right? I really look forward to seeing what you do with it and how it all turns out!
    Hugs xx

    1. Hi Sharon!
Angelina is a heat bondable fibre which you layer to produce an iridescent fabric which doesn't fray when cut. Hopefully it will be perfect for what I have in mind.
