WARNING: PHOTO HEAVY!
Beechwood Hall was sent from Sydney, NSW, in a huge box.
Inside the box was another very tightly fitted box, and took me a good few minutes to pry it out.
Inside the second box, the house was in two pieces, but all securely packed.
The small box inside the second piece of the house had all the smaller pieces. The whole house is made from a very sturdy plastic.
Plus clear instructions, which made it very simple to put together. The pieces just slot in, there's no gluing or screwing (apart from one for safety reasons).
It didn't come with batteries for the lights, but I had some. The lights can be switched off and on inside the two rooms.
I had to unscrew the cover in the back of the chimney to insert the batteries.
Once all the furniture was installed, I received a complaint from Hollow. He was very adamant that he did not want to share a bed with Mossy.
Misty said her room was beautiful and was so pleased to have an en-suite bathroom..
Mossy never complains, he went straight to the kitchen, turned on the light and made himself a pot of coffee.
The lounge didn't have lights.
And finally the full picture of the house.
The measurements as you look at it corner to corner is 24 inches and the height about 14 inches. Currently the house is sitting on my kitchen bench, but I will have to go make some room for it on a permanent basis.
I am very pleased with this purchase from the Discount Toy Co, I ordered it on Sunday and received it today (Wednesday) which is pretty great service in my book! I'm even more convinced I will have to bring home the Mill, but not right now.
If you have any RealPukis at home I recommend Syvanian Families houses and furniture, it really is the perfect size!
That is such a perfect size for these dolls. I love how everything looks and find that dining room with the light very realistic looking.
ReplyDeleteMossy and his coffee. They are all so adorable. Shame I don't have any dolls in this size but that's okay, I enjoy the house through your dolls.
Hi Alasse,
DeleteI love this little house, I have always wanted a doll house and the detail on this one is really good. The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact it only had lights in two of the rooms, I would have loved lights in ALL the rooms.
These little elves are going to love it in here. :)
Hugs,

Hello Sandy,
ReplyDeleteI love that house. I have seen it in stores and if I were not building my miniature mansion I would have purchased it. It is wonderful.
Big hug
Giac
Hi Giac,
DeleteThank you, but it doesn't compare to your beautiful mansion. If my little elves moved in there they would put on airs and graces for sure. LOL!

OMG So many congrats on getting this so fast!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a pretty house, love it!! And the photos, so cute :3
Thank you Musume, I have since seen a garden room that can be added to this, so maybe that will be added down the track. :)

This is so cute, I love it! I don't 'do' dollies that small these days, but I still love miniatures so this house is just perfect for your tinies. I look forward to seeing it a lot here on your blog :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. With any luck it will encourage me to take more photos of these little ones. :)

I love all the details in that play house - and that it's the perfect scale for these guys is even better! Congrats on bringing it home - I look forward to seeing more photos of it being enjoyed in the future! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you JS. I am looking forward to taking more photos of these guys in the house, I think it will be fun. :)

Wow, perfect!! I agree, it's too bad there isn't light in each room. I guess 2 lights are better than none! The little guys look so happy in their new home.
ReplyDeleteHi Farrah,
DeleteI had it sitting in the dark on the kitchen bench last night and turned the light on, it really looked great. I'll have to try taking a night photo of it. :)
Hugs,

It looks so magical with the owners inside enjoying the house :D!!!! I think it is an amazing purchase, and oh so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you want the mill in the future as well, If I had to choose one of the two I think I'd cry haha
Hi Alejandra,
DeleteI will have to clear out some other things before I can fit the Mill in though, Hubby is very good at catering to my hobby, but there has to be space to put it before he'll let me have it. :)

Yay! The mill is so adorable x3
ReplyDeleteThe house looks great also, and all the tiny details match your dollies perfectly!
Yes Irene, the Mill is lovely, but it will have to wait for a little while. I love the house though it's so perfect for them.

This looks just too adorable! And perfect! <3 And I would join Mossy, a cup of coffee would do just fine! My girls have a little version of the Sylvanian home. I have sometimes thought that maybe I should borrow it for my Littlest Pet Shops Blythe (even she was once my daughters). Have even browsed the net - but first I need some more room!
ReplyDeleteHi Niina,
DeleteI just love these houses, if I had spare room in my home I'd fil it with Sylvanian Families houses, they have so many different styles. But like you, I just don't have enough space to put them all.
Hugs,

Hi Sandi!
ReplyDeleteThis house is fabulous and perfectly fits your dolls. Sylvanian houses are very beautiful, if I'd have room I would have at least one of them for my future nendoroids.
Greetings ^^
This is a perfect little house!
