When I awoke this morning it was dark outside. But, as I was busily making breakfast and between yawns, I noticed a glow behind the curtains. I pulled them back and this is what I saw . . .
For some reason it reminded me of this little poem . . .
Just wealth enough to give and spare,
Just health enough to banish care,
Just friends enough sincere and true,
What more want I?
What more want you?
Just health enough to banish care,
Just friends enough sincere and true,
What more want I?
What more want you?
Perhaps the "Man Upstairs" was reminding me to be grateful for being alive and able to appreciate the beauty of nature and all my good friends.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

That is a really beautiful view. I love the intensity of the colours too. It sounds like you must wake up pretty early! I think this morning, I rolled out of bed around 9.30am but then I didn't fall into bed until just after 12:00am and I haven't been sleeping well lately.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this gorgeous photo. I also love the little poem. Sometimes, we just need a little reminder of the things to be grateful for.
Wishing you a very lovely week!
Hahaha! I don't get up that early every morning but I had plans for the day and wanted to start early. Most days I'm up around 8am. :)
DeleteHope you're not working too hard.
Big Hugs,

Thanks Sharon, I'm not always up that early, but it's very enjoyable to see the sun rise occasionally. :)

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Farrah, I think we all need a little reminder from time to time, it's too easy to become complacent. :)
