Little Eva

The Berjuan doll has lovely eyes, but the face paint is quite ordinary and really needs to be redone to give her more character. Her hair is lovely and soft to touch (no Gel), but extremely long. So unless one intends to braid it, it could be problematic. I shall restyle it by giving her a haircut and perhaps add a wave or curl.

Eva has a long neck and her articulated body is a combination of vinyl with what appears to me to be plastic joints. The joints aren't perfect, but most hold a position reasonably well . . . except for the ankles, these were sloppy, which makes standing her quite difficult, though I did finally manage to do it.

She can easily move her hands up and they will hold their position very well.

She can sit in a variety of positions, but her legs won't sit straight out in front. I do like how her arms and hands will allow her to hold things and can imagine her clutching a pet or doll.

Ava is able to kneel and lean backwards, she can even smell her own feet! (They don't stink, they have the smell of vanilla.) Or maybe she about to chew her toes! 🤣

Unfortunately, I could not get her to stand on one foot, I just don't have the patience. Would I purchase another of these dolls? Most probably not, but I will keep her and see if I can do something with her ankles.

  1. She certainly is very bendy. Maybe you can buy her some ankle boots to stabilize her ankles? Haha, smelling feet like that looks painful, vanilla or no vanilla. I look forward to see what you do with her.

    1. I could probably got her to do more poses if only I had more patience. I thought of that, but she cannot wear boots all year round. So glad you have a similar sense of humour Mia. :)

  2. It's great to see that you are still finding dolls that you love and bringing them home. She has adorable freckles. I could never stand any of my dolls on one leg. Hope you are keeping well!

    1. Thank you, not as many these days though. I thought they were too dark, so they are gone now! Yes, as well as can be expected under the circumstances. I hope you are too.
      Big hugs.

      Grandes abrazos,

  4. She is an agile girl! I can imagine her in a shiny catsuit, doing rhythmic gymnastics. She can even hold that long ribbon's grip!

  5. She's a cute doll, but I'm sure she'll look better with some hair styling and new clothes. I do agree, making dolls pose can be a pain. I often use a wooden dowel to help the doll balance, but it's tricky and still requires a lot of patience.

    1. I'm sure she will MC. Patience is something I'm short on when it comes to posing dolls, but as long as I can do something with her ankles, I think I shall be okay with her.

  6. She's cute. I can't wait to see how you will change her.
I always wonder why they make articulated dolls with faulty or poorly working. I think it's better to make doll without them in this case...

    1. Thank you Joanna. I don't think the manufacturers deliberately make poor articulation, it just happens sometimes, but they should be quality checked before they are sold.

  7. I love her long hair, but you are right, they may be hard to manage... and I really like her agility. Can't wait to see her with changed eyes and in one of your cute dresses :)!

    1. It's been cut already. :) So do I, she should be great posing for photo stories. I'm not changing her eyes, just her face paint and dressing her of course.

  8. OOh yuk! Stinky mould would be an awful discovery. Thank you Linda, I think she will have boots for a little while until I can fix them.

    1. So pleased she made you giggle Niina, we can all do with more giggles in our lives. Definitely far too long, she could have easily become Rapunzel!

  10. Hi Sandi!
This doll can easy be Rapunzel 😂 She has a beautiful face. It's very annoying when is difficult to make dolls pose, but that pic of her smelling her foot has made me laugh.
    Greetings ^-ᴥ-^
