These dolls arrived a little while ago, but I haven't really felt like photographing any dolls until today. I did however, make them both new sets of clothes.
Both dolls are lovely and are the same fine quality as all my other PR dolls. The new articulation certainly adds a little more "life" to them in photos, but the articulation is not as versatile as I was expecting. PR have given added movement to their elbows and knees, but the shoulders, wrists and ankles are still the same as always, with no flexible jointing.
I do love this face sculpt though, Cleo is quite the little cutie with pale pink lips and tiny scattered freckles across her nose and cheeks. Her new outfit comprises bib front overalls and top that does up at the back.
Manica is just as pretty and with those curly locks she is a delightful addition to the fold. Her outfit comprises a dress, pinafore and scarf. I used a little foxy print for both dolls, but used a different contrasting fabric; a pink and white daisy print for Cleo and an aqua blue and white check for Manica

I see why the boys went for Manica's shoes. Their new outfits suit them so well - much prettier than the ones they came in. I'm impressed!

Both girls are real cuties, congratulations! It's really hard to tell which I like the best... They look so gorgeous in your dresses! It's a shame about shoes though.

ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous dolls, but my favourite has to be Manica. That curly hair works perfectly with her pretty face. Even if the articulation is quite limited, I hope it can allow for a wider range of poses. Stiff legs don't look very natural if you want to pose your dolls sitting.

Thank you MC. Manica has heaps of appeal and is loved my many doll collectors. I agree with you about the hair, I have another with the same face, but the hair makes such a big difference to her looks. I think it will, at least she can bend her elbows and knees. :)

I can see why you got these two. Their face sculpts are really beautiful. I love the way they are done and the features. They are certainly very cute dolls.

Paola Reina dolls are so cute and I can understand why you picked these two. I have been interested in the articulated body. Need to check out some reviews and Youtubes. Hope that you are pleased with the articulation.
