News from the Studio

Since arriving home from my holiday I have been busy with my room box and have changed my colour scheme for the Fleur & Ruban boutique. Using two of the walls from the Library and a plain wall from the yet to be completed Kids Bedroom, I settled on a yellow and grey pallet.

I have also begun assembling the Atomic Age Living Room and it just needs a few accessories like wall art, curtains, perhaps some lighting and minor incidentals to complete the look, but this is how it looks so far.

As you can see by the photo below this colour scheme was incredibly popular during the 1940's, though I chose to go with a timber floor rather than the marbled linoleum.

  2. Hi Xanadu! Your diorama is looking good. I really like that forest green color on the right wall and the shaggy rug. They also have a beautiful "view" from the window.
    Have a lovely weekend!

    1. Hi MC! I'm happy with my progress so far, but I am a little frustrated I cannot find exactly what I am looking for to decorate the walls. The view is another of those pics downloaded from pexels.com.
You too though there's not too much of the weekend left now. :)

  3. The view from the window is stunning! Somehow it looks great together with the rug and baige/bronze furniture, like the extension of the park or garden....

    1. I would have liked to have some flowers too, just to break up the green, but it was a perfect size for the window. I guess it does Chiriann, thank you. :)
