2015 To Do List

I really need to organise myself better this coming year to make sure I finish all that I have started! I must be more focussed and learn not to be distracted, which is going to be a rather large challenge in itself . . . it can prove to be very difficult to teach an old dog (like me) new tricks.

After giving it some thought, I decided to list the top ten projects requiring attention, hoping it may help me keep my eye on the ball.

1. Finish the Tree Stump House
2. Complete the pattern designs for MoriKei
3. Cut and sew all my proto types
4. Paint and reupholster my bedroom chair
5. Paint and make a new shade for my standard lamp
6. Photograph all my unwanted/unloved items for sale on eBay or Gumtree
7. Write the second chapter of The Christmas Tale
8. Face up for Legolas
9. Blush Singe
10. Complete all my dolls outfits

Mind you I may not tackle them all in the sequence listed, it will depend entirely on which direction my creative mood takes me when I get up each morning. Wish me luck!

Oh BTW I hadn't planned on buying any new dolls just yet, but couldn't help myself Christmas Day and ordered Darin from Luts!

Those little teef get me every time!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

  1. Oh my gosh, congrats on the purchase of Darin! I am excited to see what you do with her and what you think of her sculpt in person. I was tempted because of those teeth myself but I'm sitting on my hands.

How do you find selling on ebay? I've been thinking of using that for a few things but I've never tried to sell anything on there before.

Hope you are able to get everything on your list done.

Happy New Year to you too! Hope it's a good one. I foresee being asleep by about 10.30pm New Year's Eve. I can never seem to stay up past that time anymore.

    1. Hi Alasse,
I am hopeless when it comes to these dolls, I was always a teddy bear collector until these took me by storm!! LOL!

I don't sell much in the way of BJD's on eBay, just things around the house that we no longer love or want. Most of it goes, but the fees are a killer now that they slug us for commission on postage as well! Just recently we tried Gumtree and managed to move our old dining suite, a couple of mowers and some tractor parts that needed clearing out of our garden shed. :)

There's no reason on this earth why I shouldn't achieve it all, apart from procrastination and bone idleness!!

We will try and stay up for the fireworks, but only time will tell.

    1. Thank you Night Owl, i will need all the luck you can muster and then some. LOL! When you get to my age you realise you really don't need a lot of the things that you have hung on to just in case . . . hubby just found a huge bucket full of coach screws under the house that he thought he may use one day, but that day never came, so out they'lll go too!

Well the fire works are beginning to go off . . . Happy New Year!
      Big hugs,

  3. Hi Sandi!
Congrats for the purchase of Darin. It will be interesting to see what you've planned for her when you'll have her home.

Good luck with the to do list! I have to make mine and sure I'll not do half of the things XD

Happy New Year! Let's see what this new year offers us.
    Hugs ^^

    1. Hi Lily,
You know I really don't have any plans for Darin, she was a complete impulse buy. :)

I do want to finish everything on my list but somehow knowing how easily I become distracted and how quickly things can become boring for me, I doubt if I will . . . but I will give it a darn good try.

Happy New Year to you too, I'm sure life will have something interesting in store for us all.

    1. Thank you Alejandra, she looks younger than my other Kid Delfs, so I am not sure how she will effect my family of dolls, but no doubt we will sort something out.

NY Eve came and went without much excitement, hubby and I had a couple of drinks and watched the fireworks then went to bed . . . all a little ho hum these days. LOL!

Hope you have a wonderful New Year!

  5. I wish you much luck and perseverance in completing your list! I haven't put much on my To Do list since it's already monstrous but just for laughs, I should add "finish that model of the Enterprise D that I bought back in 1988 or so". LOL

It will be interesting to see if the family stays awake until midnight on New Years Eve. We didn't come close last year but my daughter was only a few weeks old and the Mrs and I were both bone tired. We still are exhausted but the dynamic has changed with Baby Girl now a year old and our son almost 2 1/2. The kids might managed to stay awake through sheer force of will!

    1. Well I am glad I am not alone when it comes to UFO's. I was going to say I haven't got one that old, but then I remembered the toy box! I began painting that so long ago I can't actually remember when and the lid is still waiting to be completed!

It is difficult with youngsters, the tend to run you ragged throughout the day, so I do understand that you might not make it to midnight, but I wish you and yours a Happy New Year and hope it's one that you will remember. :)

  8. Oh oh, sneaky to post a little teaser of a new doll way in the bottom! It's like one of those sequences you only get to see if you actually stay and watch the end credits at a movie... Such a cutie!
You seem to have some pretty great goals in there. n_n They are ambitious but seem manageable at the same time...very envious!

    1. Hi Lily!
I'm sorry to be such a tease, but hey it does make people read the whole post. :) Well those goals maybe pushing it a little, but I really should knuckle down and be more focussed.
