Photoshoot: Parisian Preps

I thought today I would take the opportunity of a quiet morning to snap a few pics of my latest creations. But honestly, trying to do a simple photoshoot can be a real headache when my girls won't stand still and decide it's much more fun to look in every other direction instead of at the camera.

Antoinette looks like she's off with birds and Angelique is being her bossy self, telling Ancelina to "Sit on the floor and be still!"

The dresses & bloomers are styled using the skull dress pattern I made the other day, each in a different fabric with a variation in trim.

While previewing this post, I noticed a post from Night Owl in my side column and I must say it took me by complete surprise! So Night Owl if you are reading this post, I am really sorry to see you go, I enjoyed your company and comments, but I do understand that all good things come to an end sooner or later. Please know you will always be welcome here and I wish you much happiness for the future.

P.S. There is a little photo story for you here!

  1. Ooooh the dresses look great. I love the one with the polka dots! Do you sense I like Polka dots?

The little ones never like to behave when it comes to taking photos do they?

Anceline is so cute. I don't blame her though for wanting to eat that biscuit first. It looks delicious!

Where do you find such cute furniture for the dolls? I've been looking for 1:6 scale things but some of the ones listed in that size aren't actually in that size ... the joys of shopping ...and the endless trial and error!

    1. Thanks Alasse, but the polka dots are actually tiny stars. :) I like polka dots too and I have a good stash of dotty fabric, so there will be some coming soon.

I always have problems trying to get them all looking in the same direction, it's very frustrating.

That chair has a matching desk and it was one of those lucky finds in a teddy bear shop. I think you just need to keep an eye out whenever you are out and about and you'll find things seem to pop up when you least expect it.

  2. Great photos! I like how you posed them all together, kids are hard to photograph in real life too haha
The dresses are amazing, specially the pink one with the squirrels, so so cute!! I think this is a very nice dress model

    1. Thank you Alejandra, I think I am getting better at posing, not yet professional but they will do. :)
I'm pleased you like them, it was a fun pattern to make and I may adapt it to have a collar somewhere down the track.

  4. Oh how cute. I'm not a big fan of bloomers but that last dress with the tiny dots is adorable. I just love the colour.

    1. Thanks Lene, it's a Tilda fabric, very soft but still has lots of body and the dots are actually tiny stars. :)
