The Boys New Clothes

It's been a busy time around here of late. The entertainment room is finally finished and all the furniture has been returned to it's rightful place. I am so pleased with the floor, the country oak planks look fabulous, they were so easy to lay (thank heavens) and we're glad we decided to paint the walls and complete the panelling first.

I have been knitting in the evening and sewing every spare minute during the day as I had a few custom orders that needed to be completed quickly. Now those garments are all on their way to respective clients, I am able to enjoy a little dolly time myself. I had placed a rather extravagant clothes order with Iplehouse and it's arrived, so I've managed to dress the boys in clothes that were more befitting lads of their age. (It was just as well Iplehouse had so many available at great discounts, otherwise I would have blown my budget completely.)

Yesterday, hubby and I took some well earned R&R and went to see "The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and although the story line wasn't quite as good as the first, we both really enjoyed it, especially the dancing. Lunch was delicious, and much better than last time, as we found a new place to eat with a good variety of dishes on the menu!

Today, I realised I am almost at my 200th post, so I'll have to think about doing something special, not sure what, but I will think of something you can be sure. :)

Hope you are all well and enjoying life!
Hugs,
X

  1. Hello sandy,

I am glad to hear that your renovation projects are going well. It is so much work but luckily the end product is worth the time and effort!
I love the boys outfits. Great purchases. I especially like the in jeans and a beige sweater. Awesome outfit.

    1. Thanks Giac. Yes, we are almost at the end now, just the kitchen/dining floor to go, It was good to finally achieve the look I was after with these guys, I am also knitting them sweaters so they can have a change from time to time.

    1. Hi Alejandra,
Ahh it's amazing how much I can waffle on about dolls, didn't think I'd last this long though. :)
Sorry about the abbreviation, I forget that some may not understand . . . R&R means rest and recreation, and I was referring to a movie which stars Judi Dench and Maggie Smith, two very seasoned actresses probably more my vintage than yours. LOL!

    1. Thank you Dustbunnie. I'm the same but mostly with shoes, the problem is where to store them all? I keep saying I need another room added to my home, but hubby won't take the hint!! LOL!!

    1. Hi Lily!
Yes, I can hardly believe it the 200 seems to have come around so fast. My biggest problem though is what to do . . . any clues?
The boys have come up to my expectations now they have their new outfits, they were getting a little fed up with borrowing the girls clothes. LOL! The one in the middle is Raven, he's an IpleHouse BID Serca with special real skin and a KID Peach B face-up.
Hope you have a lovely weekend, hugs,

  6. The new clothes look fantastic! Iplehouse always do such lovely clothing for their doll lines.

I was thinking of going to see that movie but had other commitments. Glad to hear it was good though!

    1. Thanks Alasse, I agree, they are so much better than some of the other manufactured clothes. The movie is still running, so you could still go, but it's probably more suitable for my generation rather than the "youngsters". :)

    1. Thank you Milena. The ball is a little large but I think it does the job of making him look a real boy. :)

Oh do go see the second one as well, I enjoyed them both, I'm sure you will too!
