Yes, I know the blog has been a little on the quiet side, but hubby and I have had quite a social week, which means I haven't managed to get a lot done dolly wise.
Sunday, we spent the afternoon listening to the Groovin' Easy Orchestra, while feeding our faces with lovely fresh scones with jam and cream at the Bentleigh Club. (So fattening, no wonder I can't loose any weight. LOL!)
Tuesday, we went to the Princess Theatre to see "Anything Goes" ~ and we travelled in style. We both hate driving in the city and trying to find somewhere to park the car etc. can be a nightmare at times, so rather than risk a cab, we hired a chauffeured car to take us in and bring us home.
BTW if you are ever in need of transport around Melbourne, we can highly recommend "Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars", the driver (Cam) was prompt, polite and friendly, the car (a beautiful Audi) was impeccably clean and the cost was only a fraction more than the price of a cab.
Yesterday, I received Teno from Impldoll and was surprised at how lovely and tactile his resin was. You can view pics of him here and here. As yet he hasn't any clothes, but that's on the agenda for next week, after I have finished the two dresses for my IMDA's.
So no pics to share today . . . we are off out again soon to enjoy dinner with friends, and then again next Tuesday to enjoy some yummy curries and meet another friend's new bride from overseas.
Wishing all my readers a lovely weekend, I'll be back with more photos next time.
Looks like you've had quite the social calendar! That's always good to be able to get out and about when you can. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new arrival. I've always wondered about Impldoll resin so it was great to hear what you thought about it.
Hi Alasse,
DeleteThanks, he is the first Impldoll I have purchased, but he has a lovely finish and I've yet to find a seam line! The EMS delivery from China to Oz took over a week, which worried me a little as I've been used to 3 days from Korea, but all is well now.
Hugs,
X
Hello sandy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun week. Make sure you rest up before you get back to work.
Big hug,
Giac
Hi Giac,
DeleteNo such thing as rest at the present, I have to make up for lost sewing time, but it has been almost a fun four weeks! :)
Hugs,

Hi Sandi!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have some fun and you've had a nice week.
Congrats on the new arrival, your new boy is very beautiful.
Greetings ^^
Hi Lily!
DeleteIt certainly hasn't been the usual around here, can't remember when we have been out and about so much. :) Thanks for the congrats, he's much better than expected.
Hugs,
X
I'm glad to read you are having so much fun, keep enjoying the week :D!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alejandra, to be honest I am hoping it slows down a bit, so things can get back to normal.
DeleteHugs,

Sounds like you're having lots of fun down there in Australia...is it getting chilly there? We are full swing into summer and it seems as though every weekend is jam packed with picnics, birthday parties and everything else in between. Lovely photos of your new guy...I can't wait to see what you create for him. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteFarrah :)
Hi Farrah Lily,
DeleteYes, very unusual for winter, I normally hibernate, especially when it's been so cold . . . maybe not freezing, but colder than I like! Sounds like you're having a ball and enjoying the sun (lucky you) I can't wait for the warmer weather to arrive downunder. :)
Hugs,
X
