Hope everyone is looking forward to this brand new year. I'm not setting any goals this year, as no sooner have I done so in the past, they have flown out the window, leaving me feeling a little disheartened and an awful lot guilty. Now that's no way to enjoy dolly time, is it?
You may remember me mentioning, that I was waiting for some backdrops to arrive, well they did, but not until New Year's Eve. So I hope you will bear with me, while I share a couple of belated Christmas snaps of my tiny troupe from the Gingerbread House.
Bon Bon, Gum Drop and Truffles Christmas 2015.
Bon Bon loves her rocking horse. She's hanging on tightly though, as she's a little bit scared being so high off the ground.
Truffles was very pleased to receive another teddy bear. She's very proud of her bear collection, as it's grown considerably.
Dear sweet Gum Drop was overjoyed with her puppy. She asked me if she could give him a quick ride on the rocking horse.
A slightly disappointed Daisy, asked Santa for a teddy and received little teddy train this instead. :)
First, I really have always loved how you name your dolls. I wish I was that creative! My naming system consists of looking through male or female name lists!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, very festive! I actually had to look twice at the backdrop. It looks quite real. If you hadn't mentioned it was a backdrop, I would have assumed it was a diorama. It does not look like a backdrop at all.
I was looking for a rocking horse for my tinies too as I wanted to take a photo of them on it but all the ones I found up here weren't very well made and not very solid. They were incredibly thin and flimsy.
I love that Samta has a sense of humour.
It's not an easy task Alasse, keeping them in groups of three makes a little more simple. if I didn't name them the way I do, I'd never be able to remember who was who. LOL!
DeleteThe two I ordered worked out pretty well, the one used for the first four photos is for tiny dolls, the one at the bottom could be for larger dolls, probably MSD, maybe even SD at a pinch
I purchased this one from a little gift shop, it's quite sturdy
Hugs,

Your tiny troupe is adorable, and I love how each of them has a color scheme!
ReplyDeleteThe backdrop looked great :D
Thanks Musume, just waiting for one more PF to arrive to complete the families living on Oak Tree Lane. :)

That backdrop is wonderful, and the rocking horse is perfect - great photos!
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy New Year!
Thank you JS, the backdrops are really great to use.
DeleteHappy New Year to you too!

These photos are so precious!! Is that xmas tree part of the backdrop or an actual tree? it looks super nice~ The rocking horse is also amazing and your tinies bring me so much joy when I see them.
ReplyDeleteHaving no goals it's okay too, that's not for everyone and no one should feel guilty over a hobby.
Hi Alejandra,
DeleteThank you so much. Yes the tree is part of the backdrop and the reason I purchased both backdrops. We only put up our tiny tree this year and it looked knda ordinary compared to the backdrop trees. :)

These girls are so adorable. If there were little fairies living in the woods, this is what you hope they'd look like!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you have a wonderful New Year and thank you so much for all of your support and inspiration.
Hi GT!
DeleteThank you, I always knew you were a big softy at heart. :)
I am looking forward to a wonderful new year and hope you are too. I shall be by soon to check out more of your soldier boys.
Hugs,

I adore your candy-themed names~ also what a lovely set-up, I love how much thought you put into the Xmas gifts for all of your dollies! That rocking horse is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, yes Irene, I think it's very appropriate to have candy names for my little sweeties. :) I love rocking horses and carousel horses, so you will often see them used as props with my dolls.
