Early Morning Walk

Darjeeling and Lady Grey took their puppy for a little walk this morning.

Not really pleased with the way LG's wig looks on her, so I removed the bun.

Better, but I am actually thinking I may change it to something softer around her tiny face. Perhaps a curly bob, or soft waves. What do you think?

Diorama Update

I covered the back wall with a spotted pale blue scrapbooking paper and added deeper plain blue feature walls either side. The panelling under the frieze is also paper.

  1. I like the color of the wig, but maybe a softer style such as longer and/or curly hair might suit her very well too!

The diorama is looking greaaat :D keep it up!

    1. Thanks Irene, I think I'm leaning towards a soft curl, but I've yet to find what I'm looking for.

  3. Oh the girls look like they are having a lot of fun and I love their adorable dog. Are you planning on keeping the same colour for the wig? Curly bob or soft wavy hair would look great on her.

The walls look great! Did you use scrapbooking paper for the flooring too?

    1. Thanks Alasse, the little dog is perfect as a puppy for this size doll. Yes, I will definitely be keeping this colour for her.

The flooring is a placemat that I purchased from Spotlight.

Will you be keeping the lilac color for Lady Grey? I think that hair color suits her so much !

    1. Thanks Alejandra, I'm getting there. Yes, that's her special colour, so I can change the style but not the colour.

  8. Those two are very cute ! I like the wig much better without the bun. I always find it hard to get wigs that don't 'drown' the little dolls. But that's the beauty of bjd's at least we can try lots of styles ! ^_^

    1. Hi Caroline,
Thank you, I do too but I think the fringe is too harsh. She has such a tiny face every wig seems to swamp her. I do know what I'd like to see on her, but I can't find one in the right style in the lilac. May have to make one.

  9. Hello Sandi!
The wig looks better without the bun. I love how you match their wigs with their dresses. Your girls and the dog are lovely.
You're doing a good job with the diorama, the details on the wall are very cute.
    Greetings ^^

    1. Lily I think we all agree on that ... definitely no bun! Colour coordination helps when you have a dozen little ones. :)

Thanks. Bought some timber yesterday to make a chair rail, just hoping it's no too wide. Guess I'll see when I cut it today.

  10. They are both so cute. I definitely prefer Lady Grey's wig without the bun, I love the colour on her. I do love an Icis. I had a pukifee icis for a while. I think its a very overlooked sculpt because they really are so adorable. I love the wallpaper in your diorama too! So cute!
