Julia's New Wig & Friend

I think Julia looks a good deal prettier in this wig and she is so much happier now she has a friend to play with.

ABYA ~ Yes, I knitted the outfit ~ the dress is a free "Poppy" pattern and the sampler cardi was created from the depths of my own noggin! :)

    1. Thank you Alejandra. The skirt is actually a dress, but the pattern you refer to appears only on the skirt part of the dress, the top is plain.

    1. Hi Niina,
Thank you, and you are most welcome, the dress is an easy knit so you have fun with it. I used Knit Picks Palette for mine, but any 4ply will do nicely.

Love seeing dolls holding dolls! Her new friend looks quite pretty indeed.

    1. Thanks Alasse, I thought so too, it's very natural looking. Her "new" friend is not actually new, I have had her for quite some time. :)

    1. Oh I agree Carolyn, I can live with her now. :)

The "sampler" pattern was really fun to knit, it was a basic pattern that I simply changed with remnant wool colours and fancy stitches as I went along.

  6. I agree that she looks so much nicer with this wig, the Kidz n Cats wigs leave a lot to be desired. I love the outfit too, great colours and great knitting :) And I see she's found herself a little 'friend' already!! x

    1. Thanks Sharon. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with her at first, but as soon as I tried this wig on I knew it was right for her. Knitting this and changing the colours and stitches as I went along was very fulfilling, I might try it again down the track and see how it turns out when I'm in a different mood. :)
