Yes, she's here and she's all mine! 😁 This doll was really worth waiting for. You may notice her left brow is slightly lower than the her right, but I quite like that she's a little asymmetrical, after all, humans are that way IRL.
Who said a redhead can't wear pink? I knitted the outfit for her while I waited and am pleased it fitted her so well.
She also has another outfit almost done, just have to sew up the cardi and add buttons. :)
Hope you are all having a lovely dolly week!
Hugs,
X
Hello Sandy,

Hi Giac,
DeleteThank you so much for you kind comments, she is so much lovelier in real life, I can't stop looking at her. :)

What a beautiful girl Sandi, I can completely understand how happy you are to have her. So she is your first Little Darling? I so remember when I received my first girl, I just couldn't put her down or stop looking at her, their faces are so incredibly realistic and their handpainted eyes are so life like. I'm sure you're going to have such a great time making more and more outfits for her :) And if this outfit is anything to go by, she is going to be one very well dressed little lady!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs xxx
Oh Sharon thank you, she really is a delightful doll and I am so glad I asked Joyce to paint her. Yes, my first but not my last. :) I am already back on Joyce's waiting list. She is a very similar size to the Las Amigas dolls so they will be able to share clothes and it's good being able to knit for both at the same time.

PS Love her little bear too, so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, thanks, it's the smallest bear I ever made!
DeleteYou made him????? WOW that's amazing, he's gorgeous!
DeleteThanks Sharon. :)
DeleteShe is absolutely precious! I love her sweet face and that hair is gorgeous. Can I ask how you go about getting one of these? I'm confused about the process! I've wanted one for a few years now, but not sure how to go about it.
ReplyDeleteI know you will enjoy her! Xx
Hi Farrah,
DeleteThank you so much. If you go to Joyce's website http://kuwahidolls.com/index.html
you can put your name down on her waiting list. It takes about 6 months before she contacts you to say she is ready to paint your doll and you let her know which doll you want etc. Then she will give you a completion date, once the doll is ready she will send you a photo for approval, & then an invoice for payment. I love her work and there are plenty of samples for you to look at on her website. I am back on her waiting list already. :)
Big Hugs,

Thanks so much for explaining! I love these dolls so much, so I am hoping to have one someday..I better get on that waiting list!!
DeleteHugs back :)
Your very welcome. At least it gives you time to save some dolly pennies. :)
DeleteShe is really pretty, congrats!! I love her bear, and the hair color is so adorable!! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Musume. She loves her bear too!

Hello! She is so adorable! Congrats! The pinkish dress suits her well! Love the big pompoms!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Thank you Niina. I think the other colours help her to wear the pink as well as she does. I used a pompom maker to do them, but I still had to trim them down to size. :)

A really adorable little troublemaker <3
ReplyDeleteShe has a cute face, but I think she already knows that.
;)
Thank you Rachel. Somehow I think she will be, but in a good way. :)
