Nevertheless, before I was able to make any new ones, I needed more corflute. So it was off to Riot online. Of course I couldn't just purchase the corflute and leave, I had to look around to see what else they had that might come in handy.
During my perusal I found these little wooden dolls, which if you turn them upside down, will make great legs for my tuffet. To complete the tuffet I'll need a circle of timber (perhaps hubby can help here), some wadding, a fat 1/4 of pretty fabric to cover it and a length of braid to trim the edge. Simple! However, I'll post more on that project later.
Now just so you don't get any dolly withdrawal symptoms today, here are Clara and Kitty (Gotz dolls) using the new Peter Rabbit teaset and enjoying afternoon tea together. :)
Looking interesting with your projects. I will look forward to seeing how it turns out :D
ReplyDeleteYour girls are so cute. And can I just say I'm totally jealous regarding that teaset. I adore Peter Rabbit. <3
Thanks Lise, I hope they turn out as well as the first one . . . great pictures in my mind, but often I can't find the right accessories. The play dolls don't pose like the BJD's, but they are still great fun. You really must look for one on eBay. :)

Hello Sandy,
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see what you do with those great scenes... I love the "darker" one. The dolls to be used as feet is a great idea and I love that tea set.
Big hug

Hi Giac,
DeleteThe possibilities are endless . . . though I never have the ability of patience to make things as detailed and beautiful as your manor house. The "darker" one has steampunk written all over it. :)
When it comes to shopping we have to keep our imagination always at hand.
Thank you, I am so pleased I found it.
Big hugs,

Windows with great views😀
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think they will be perfect for my requirements. :)

You have found some great views to use on your next projects Sandi!
ReplyDeleteAnd those little dolls are interesting, I thought they were skittles!
Your last photo isn't showing up for me, but I think I might have just seen your two Gotz girls on Flickr, I will have to go back again and have another look :)
I look forward to seeing your next projects when they are finished.
Hugs xx
Yes, I think they will do Sharon, if not there are plenty out there to choose from. I guess they could be skittles, but I have seen them painted as little dolls on kiddy sites so they have plenty of different uses. :) That's strange, it's still okay my end, but as you say you can see them on Flickr and they are kinda cute.
DeleteThank you, hubby will be away for a few days, so I'll have plenty of time to myself to finish them all. :)
Big hugs,

Hello there! Wonderful windows and I especially like the one with the snow. It is like looking out a typical window over here during winter. Look forward to reading more about your project! And the girls look like they are enjoying the tea time!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Me too Niina, but I am not sure how to decorate the room yet. Oh those girls, they always enjoy tea time. :)

I think this is such a neat idea. You're doing a great job with the windows. I love window scenes a lot. You can imagine you're somewhere else can't you!
ReplyDeleteThe dolls are using their special tea set. It looks great.
Thanks Alasse, it's difficult making a full room for this size doll unless you have room to store them. However, I'm off to Ikea later to purchase more Billy bookcases. :) Yay! Plans are afoot!!

Hi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteI'm really curious to see what your plans are for those windows. And I see your girls are having a nice tea party with that beautiful tea set.
Greetings ^^
Lots of plans Lily, but I'm not sure if I will use ALL of the window photos yet.
DeleteThey wouldn't let me just put it away, once they saw it they wanted to use it. :)
Hugs,

Hello :)
ReplyDeleteOh these look great and will be great for pictures.
I still think the idea is very smart and I consider to one Backdrop for myself. Very inspirational :) Thank you and hugs
