I was doing so well with my knitting and just as I almost finished the last sleeve I reached the end of the ball . . . had I chosen to knit a smaller size I probably would have managed to pull it off.
Hope your weekend is going better than mine. :)
Hugs to all,
X
I wish you'll have sunshine instead of rain soon. <3 ^__^ That's just classical event which happens when creating something. Thread of any kind will end before you finish your garment. I'm sure you'll get some more yarn and finish your knitting. ;) Nature will be thankful for the rain, even if we many times arent. :) Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThank you Xaya, your wishes must have helped as the sun is shining today and we actually have blue skies overhead!! :)
DeleteManaged to get more yarn, unfortunately not the same dye lot and there was a noticeable difference. I ended up unravelling the sleeves, then I inserted a pattern at the cuff in contrasting colours which sorted out the problem.
Hugs,

Your post title gave me a bit of nostalgia. I love that movie. I will have to go and find it and buy it on DVD. They remind me of the times when movies were just feel good stories that made you smile all day. This was one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteHope you didn't get too soaked when you went shopping!
Alasse it's been so wet recently that we have been having days of DVD watching, one musical after another. We watched South Pacific, Gigi and Can Can last weekend, so I too have been feeling nostalgic. :)
DeleteNot soaked, as I managed to get a car park right outside Spotlight's door.

We have here a lot of rain too... So I know what you are filling. I hope sun will shine soon :*
ReplyDeleteI hope you're not feeling depressed by your rain and wish you some sunshine too. It's been a little more dry the last day or so, but we are receiving really icy cold winds from Antarctica.
DeleteHugs,

Oh, that's a bad luck! Both ending of ball and rain.
ReplyDeleteIt's rainy in my place as well, so I coudn't take my dolls outside to take some shots. But I'm happy - I don't have to water my garden pots. :)
Hi Joanne,
DeleteGives me a pain in the butt, when I run out of yarn when I am almost finished! However, all is well now. :)
I guess there is always something positive that comes from the rain eh? Do you have many garden pots? I only have a few.
Hugs,

Hello! We sure do need the rain you are getting. It is so dry and everything is more brown than green! I hope that you get some better weather soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd that movie is a great classical one!
Hugs!
Hi Niina,
DeleteWell you can have as much as you like of ours. :) The weather has improved a little, but I'm still staying indoors except when I have to venture out.
Hugs,

You definitely need some sunshine....I hope it all improves soon for you xx
ReplyDeleteYep I definitely do . . . hopefully sooner than later. :)
DeleteI feel you with the rain chant T_T Maybe I can join you, and claim for the fog to go away as well! D:
ReplyDeleteOh I hope your fog disappears soon Musume, it can be quite dangerous to drive in. We have had early morning mists, but no fog. Let's hope we both receive some sunshine soon. :)
DeleteHugs,

If it's still raining, please send some our way, it's very dry over here! I hope you found the yarn! I love that movie by the way :-). Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe rain's gone (perhaps it's headed your way) but it's still grey clouds and cold. Yes thank you Linda, I found enough yarn to finish the sweater. Oh me too, I'm a big fan of musicals.
DeleteBig hugs,
X
