I'm still alive and kicking, though I am still in hibernation. For some reason the winter has this effect on me, perhaps I was a bear in a previous life and it's an inbred instinct for me to hide in my cave during the cold winter days.
Anyway I have finally caught up with all your blogs and I am happy you all seem to be enjoying time with your dolls. However, I am going back to my knitting and I'll be back as soon as the weather improves and the SUN IS SHINING once more . . . I hope you enjoy the poem.
Or has the moon unveiled
The molten path of night-time
Where starlight glow has paled?
The lustrous glitter bold
Makes warm the winter evening
And hides the chilling cold.
The treetops shake their icing
Upon the frozen street
And snowflakes flutter softly
Their lacy patterns sweet.

Beautiful, Winter views.
ReplyDeleteA nice poem.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Do you have snow right now? Knitting is perfect for cold Winter days, isn't it :-). I will keep my fingers crossed for some sunny days soon :-). Big hugs Sandi! Linda
ReplyDeleteNo snow Linda, but really cold for Melbourne this year. The winds are coming off the Antarctic, they are so icy they just about freeze your face and the skies are continually depression grey.
DeleteYes, knitting is a great thing to do during winter and I really enjoy being snuggled up in my big chair in front of the fire. 😁
Big Hugs,

Beautiful poeam and photos :) I hope sun will shine for you soon :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I hope so too, winter is not my favourite season.

Beautiful poem! Sending some sunshine to you and hope that it arrives and keeps you warm! Until then, knit away - look forward to seeing what you have made! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Niina, your sunshine has brightened my day. :)

Love those images. I have never looked at lamplights the same since Narnia. They just remind me of that first scene in Narnia.
ReplyDeleteHi Alasse,
DeleteMe too, there is something warming about lamplight that reminds one of a time gone by. Funny you should mention Narnia, we watched that DVD not long ago. :)
Hugs,

I'm sorry to hear that you're not having much sunshine and warmth down there in Australia Sandy, I hope it improves. I can deal with the cold, although I don't like it, but I cannot deal with the lack of sunshine :(
ReplyDeleteKeep warm, big hugs, Sharon xx
Hi Sharon!
DeleteIt's been so dismal lately all I have felt like is knitting by the fire. Haven't had the slightest interest in my dolls, which is not like me at all, but winter is moving along and I am just looking forward to spring. :)
Hugs,
X
PS that is a very nice poem too :)
