Sharing a Story

We often hear tell of "The Little Black Dress", but today I would like to share a wee story from "The Ol' Pink Bag". Of course each of the bags shown below will have it's own story to tell.

The Ol' Pink Bag: "I'll just tell you a little about me. See the one in the top row centre, #2 that's me. I'm quite business like and carry my owner's diary, her note pad, car keys, purse, card wallet, tissues, lippy and sometimes even a sketch pad. There have also been occasions when she has managed to squeeze a doll or two in me as well."

Which Ol' Pink Bag Are You?

Big hugs,
X

  1. Hello!
My heart is weak when it comes to bags! I would pick them all, butI have my favourites. Number 4, 5 and 9. The Ol' Pink Bag nr 4 would be a bag for those down town shopping moments, when you do not need more than a wallet, phone and keys. Nr 5 would be for those days filled with meetings, work and days at the school. Number 9, well - probably the best bag for the days out. Road trip with dolls, camera, snack and other important things.
Well, beautiful bags! My own bag is a big one in dark coral pink! :)
    Hugs and happy weekend ahead!

    1. Hi Niina!
Oh you are a girl after my own heart. My kids know how addicted to bags I am and gave me "Colette" gift cards this Christmas to spend at my favourite bag store https://www.colettehayman.com.au I love their totes because you can just about put everything in them including the kitchen sink. LOL!

I like your choices, but #9 would probably be my daughters choice, she loves anything with Flamingos. :) I'd like to see your coral one.

    2. Hello again! I hope that this link works, it is a photo I took the day I bought the bag: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RRASCNySZYo/WYDPIVw62RI/AAAAAAAABxg/SnXAVli_K-MN5Y4_9fRRbdiXRqWzZi0qgCLcBGAs/s1600/don_donna_bag.jpg It is from my Swedish blog. I do not know if the photo does the color any justice, but there the bag is.
Had to make a visit at "Colette", so many bags! o_O We all need a tote that can take a kitchen sink! Absolutely! :D
      Hugs!

    3. It's a great bag Niina, but it looks more like hot pink on my screen. :) It's a good size too, could put a lot of stuff in that one.

    4. Thanks! The color was hard to capture, even in daylight. It is a great bag and a it can take a lot of stuff - two dolls just to start with! :)

  2. I think my bag would be number 8 - girly! That being said, my purse in real life is no-frills, and is also blue, which is *my* favorite color. :)

    1. Oh yes Barb, very girly indeed. No-frills blue sounds good too! :) Although blue isn't my favourite colour, it comes a close second, and seems to be my colour of choice for this summer, that and white! I guess your could say my wardrobe this year is almost nautical. LOL!

  3. I'm number 5 :) I carry a lot of stuff - keys, tissue, wallet, childer's drawings, one wet sock (belonging to the Little One), small car, some sweets and sand. Sometimes I carry also dolls and camera :) Usually I'm full of stuff but I like feeling useful :D
    Great story Xanadu :)
    Hugs :*

    1. Hahaha! I reckon you would need that bag to carry all that stuff BB. Loved the addition of the wet sock and sand . . . had similar situation myself a long, long time ago. 😁
      Glad you enjoyed it.

  4. I think I'm number 5, I don't carry a lot, but I'm a backpack kind of girl. I love sporty outfits and a backpack is great for trekking, shopping and everything! I like to carry 2 reusable fabric bags in it if I'm shopping (just one if I'm going out and don't plan to buy stuff, in case I end up buying something). And if I need the extra space I can put stuff in the backpack. I've even put an entire pineapple on mine! Just so I wouldn't carry too much weight on my arms LOL

    1. Somehow I thought you might be Alajandra. Backpacks are great, but for some reason unknown to me, I always think of them as a bag for the young. However, when I think about it, it's most probably because the only one I have ever owned was when I was at school . . . and that was long, long ago. LOL! But it really does make sense to use one, then your arms don't get pulled out of their sockets and you don't end up with a lopsided spine. :) I love that you carry extra bags, just in case . . . great explanation of why . . . I love it!

  5. After much though, I guess in my case it will be number 9. I carry a lot of things with me, because, well, you have to prepared for everything that day my throw at you ;) - a note, Kindle, phone, pills for headache, tissues, passcards to my workplace (two), a lunchbox, shopping bag (just in case), umbrella, a pendrive, wallet, phone charger, books from the library, sometimes a small camera and doll(s). No other bag will do, plus, I love flamingoes ;)

    1. Seems many choose #9 for that reason, the bigger the bag, the more stuff you can pile into it. :) You'd get along with my daughter too, she's mad on flamingos.

  7. Oooooh a lot of lovely choices, but I think for me it would be either #9 the flamingo bag or if I didn't have a lot of stuff to carry, then it'd be #7, the round one....although I could see me accidentally tipping that one up and losing everything over the floor, yes I'm the clumsy one. As for my own bag, well I have a lot of choices as I really love bags, but recently I have been very ruthless and a lot of bags went to the charity shop. However, my bag at the moment is a bit of a boring black, although it has small squares of other coloured leather on one side, so not quite as boring as it sounds. It is full of stuff, including receipts that really should have been sorted out, flyers that are handed to me, they're of no use but I don't like to put them straight in the bin in case the person handing them out sees me! Phone, sweeteners for hot drinks, two sachets of hot chocolate (don't laugh), spare phone charger cable, nylon foldaway shopping bag (just in case), tissues, purse which keeps opening...hence loose change rattling around in the bottom of bag, two passports (greedy me has one British and one Irish!), bank book, more tissues, lipstick, chapstick, oh my god some chewing gum out of the wrapping!!!! I don't think I'll look any further, it's too embarrassing!!!!
    xx

    1. Crikey Sharon and I thought I was bad!! After that lot you'd have no room at all for the kitchen sink! LOL! Looks like it's a toss up between the Flamingo bag and the backpack for most who left comments.

  8. I always look forward to your pink Fridays! I do like bag number #2 that you described. It's such a nice looking bag. I'm not a big fan of too much bling on things.

Okay, let's see, which bag ... I think #9 - I like bags that have unusual designs on them (I have a Wonder Woman bag in that style too - and I have a Doctor Who wallet - I plan to buy a Disney Princess bag in this style at some stage as well). I carry a lot in my bag, wallet, phone, pens, prescription sunglasses (as I can't see a thing without my glasses), bottle of hand santisier, a little case that olds my earphones, a little container of medicines (panadol, antihistamine, heartburn, cold tablets - girls at work always know who to go to for medicine!), a tin of watermelon flavour eclipse mints, my work ID, my car and house keys, some tissues. I think that's about it. Small notepads or drawing pads sometimes go in there too. And sometimes a Pandora catalogue.

I never used more than one bag but in the past two years, I've gone a bit bag crazy and now have about 5 or 6 different bags!

I've been thinking of doing something on Fridays myself on my blog but not sure if I can keep it up! I know what I'm like!

    1. I never picked that one for you Alasse, but with all that stuff you put into a bag I guess you would need it. 😁
I have a lot of bags, big and small! Like shoes I simply can't resist them.

  9. Hi Sandi,

My bag would be #5. Easy to wear, comfortable and can carry my camera and some food and a bottle of water when I go for a long walk in the city. And also perfect to carry dolls and figures. I use to wear fabric bags too in case I need them if I purchase something.

    Greetings ^^
