I turfed Lonnie's curls for a short bob, though I am not enamoured with it and am now thinking . . . maybe I should change her eyes, or at least re-position them?
I gave Paige some plaits in the hope they would also make her look younger, but as I said to Rachael recently, there's something about this doll that doesn't quite work and I just don't know what it is. I suspect, aside from the very rosy cheeks, she has an old face for a KID . . . what do you think?
I really like Lonni, and Paige's face looks older, I think her hair color doesn't work.

I think changing Irene's hairstyle was a great decision. She looks so sweet!

About Paige - I love her hair now. She looks like a teenager, but I think that's great. She's so beautiful.
Thanks Joanna, I tried pig tails first but ended up with one higher than the other, so I ended up combing it all down, used the clips to hold it, then made individual curls and when I looked at her I was happy . . . now she can also wear a hat! :)

As I said above, Paige is one big frustration and it looks like she'll end up as the older cousin in my story, there doesn't seem to be another option.

DeleteI love Irene's new look! She is still my favourite :). Lonnie looks kind of sad... I think she really liked her curls ;). And Paige does look more mature. Maybe shorter wig will do the trick? Or maybe different eyes? She is still a beauty, though :)
ReplyDeleteMine too Chiriann. I think you are right, I may take Sharon's suggestion and get some courage to trim the red curly wig back to a length where it doesn't swamp her little face. Then I'll try changing her eyes and see if that makes her look happier. :) Still in limbo with Paige, but the plaits are growing on me.

I definitely prefer Irene's new hairstyle. But I'm not in love with Lonnie's. Paige's plaits are make her look a little top heavy but I like them. I was actually thinking that with a new face up and wig Paige would make a beautiful Ginny Weasley type redhead.

I'm still not sure how I'm going to change mine. But I've seen a particular style of face up that I think would look spectacular on Paige. I'm not sure I have the skills to do it, but maybe it will be too tempting and I'll give it a shot anyway
DeleteI think Paige would look good as a very dark brunette, meself. The braids are great, though. I think you're right that Paige will never look like a child, but I still love the braids.
ReplyDeleteYou could be right RM, but this is the only one I have with plaits and I really don't want to purchase any more wigs, I've got too many now. :) So I think she may be stuck with this wig for now at least.

ReplyDeleteI think Paige lips are to red for young girl. In my opinion her lips should be more pinkish and much lighter to give her younger vibbes. And maybe her wig shoud be brown? To match her brows and eyes?
Irene is super cute with her wig and face up, Lonnie looks like a daydreamer. I like her eyes very much.

DeleteI think everyone agrees Paige looks older than the other two, so she's set as a teenager, Irene will stay as she is now, and Lonnie still needs some attention to get her right . . . so more experimenting coming up. :)

Irene looks great in that colour wig. I like the pigtails a lot. Loni's wig I like too. I actually like the eyes as they are but maybe play around with them to see what you think. And Paige has a classic face, I can bet she would be a hard one to wig.
ReplyDeleteThank you Alasse. I'm really happy with Irene, so apart from dressing, she's complete. Lonnie's hair is still to be decided, the eyes may simply need to be re-directed so she doesn't look so sad. Paige is going to stay in that wig for now, I think I can make it work. :)

I think maybe Paige looks older because her eyes are too small, and her mouth too big and thin, not small and pouty. That sounds funny, but big eyes are a trait of babies and puppies and all kinds of cute little creatures, right? I also noticed her mouth is different from the other two, and now that I look again, her nose is bigger. I think lighter lips might help, but she may just have to be the older sibling/cousin/friend.
