I would have liked to find a genuine Pedigree Sindy, but alas I could find none who looked so elegant.
This beautiful Tonner eleven inch Sindy Bridal Bliss, wears a gorgeous glitter tulle dress over a white petticoat and undergarment pantyhose with attached panties. Rhinestone earrings and tiara with attached veil, faux flower bouquet and white elastic shoes complete her bridal ensemble.

Sindy has blue hand-painted side glancing eyes with applied eyelashes, brown rooted Saran hair and her skin tone head and body are made of fine quality vinyl and hard plastic.
I doubt very much if I will re-dress this doll, as she is so beautiful just as she is, and there's not a bride doll anywhere else among my collection. Now isn't that a sad state of affairs? I wonder if that means I should look for another. 😁
LINK: Current Sindy Website It doesn't appear to have any updates since 2018.

NOTE: I have also contacted Pedigree themselves, to see if these dolls are still being manufactured and if so, where they can be purchased.
Ah congrats! I know about these dolls. They have really sweet faces. And that dress is so beautiful, I don't blame you for not wanting to redress her. I wouldn't be tempted to either!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alasse. This is the other doll I spoke to you about earlier (not the one that went missing though). It's not often I keep any doll in it's original clothes, mainly only the IT dolls. But this one is quite special. :)

SINDY!!! Can't beat Sindy! You chose wisely in bringing home the bride; she's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you RM, I hope she is as beautiful as her pictures. :)
DeleteBig hugs,

Congratulations, she is beautiful! The dress is simply dreamy, it's a wonderful find. But yes, now you definitely need another to re-dress ;)! And I'm curious if they are still being produced...
ReplyDeleteHugs, hugs!
Thank you Chiriann. Unfortunately no, Tonner close in December, 2018. But if you search you maybe able to find one on the internet, they do come up for sale every now and then.
DeleteBig hugs,

I hope you like your Sindy, Xanadu. I read a lot about the new Sindy dolls when they first came out, but don't know if I ever saw one in a collection. She makes a lovely bride.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barb, I know some much prefer the vintage Sindy to the Tonner version, but I love Robert's dolls. :) And you are right, she makes a beautiful bride. :)
DeleteBig hugs,
X
Thanks Linda, she reminds me of my daughter. :) I have loved Robert's dolls for as long as I can remember, but it's only now that I have found the opportunity to purchase some of them.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,

DeleteGrandes abrazos,

The Tonner Sindy's are really nice Sandi, I think you'll enjoy having her in your collection. I had two of them but not this one, I had a blond and a redhead, but sold both last year....purely because they didn't get much attention here.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this outfit is too nice to remove...so yes, you probably do need to get an other so that you can at least have one to sew, knit and crochet for!! :D
Big hugs xx
Oh I certainly shall Sharon. :) I have plenty here that probably need attention too, but I am trying to sort out what my future plans are with my dolls. I seem to be going through another faze. Unfortunately the ones I wish to sell are not moving. :(
DeleteI'm not sure whether I will purchase another one, or someone completely different.
Big hugs,

ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful doll. I wouldn't change her dress either. Hugs
Thank you Lenka, I just wish she would hurry up and get here. :)

Hello again! I know you have a newer post, but I really wanted to comment on this one. Unfortunately, I've been busy and haven't found time until now.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to get a Sindy doll at some point. When I started collecting, it was Sindy's 50th anniversary, and, as far as I understood, she was supposed to do a comeback, but never saw the dolls they showed on her website. I believe the Tonner Sindy dolls were released later, but they weren't the ones I was interested in. I was quite confused, specially because I was quite new at collecting and I didn't know anything about doll companies. Furthermore, judging by the website, they seemed to be playline dolls, but Tonner's were collector. It was something that bugged me back then and still don't know what happened to that alleged comeback.
Sorry for the long comment, but as soon as I saw your doll I remembered all of this. Your doll is stunning by the way.
Hi MC,
DeleteThat's okay, I don't expect my readers to comment on every post, only the ones that interest them. :)
I can understand the frustration this must have caused you, but with any luck and if you still desire to own a Sindy, perhaps you will find one now. There are still Tonner Sindy's around but you really have to search for one in pristine condition like this one. The older play line Sindy's are easier to find, but most have been loved by a child, so would probably need some love and attention.
That's okay, I hope you find the one you were looking for one day. soon. :)
Big hugs,
X
I *love* that dress!! Congrats on getting her, she is pretty but the outfit is perfection! I really like the bodice of it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Musume, she is one doll that will stay as she is. It's not often that happens around here, I usually like to re-dress my dolls, but this gown is too perfect to change.
DeleteBig hugs,

Hello! This made me miss my two Sindy dolls from my childhood. Hade one blond short haired and one ballerina. Really loved them, but as I got older and relatives kids got into the age of wanting a doll, I just thought why not. I have been looking for a Pedigree Sindy, found some, but always in a very poor shape for too much money for my wallet. Have not given up. Congrats on getting her, she is so so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I think finding a vintage Sindy in great conditions will be hard Niina, and if you ever do, it will be expensive that's for sure. But one must keep an eye out, you just never know what you'll find if lady luck is on your side. :)
DeleteThank you, I'm very happy I found this Tonner one. :)
Big hugs,
X
She is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanna, don't you just love her gown, saves a lot of sewing for me. LOL!
