Tonner Tiny Kitty Collier

Introducing my latest purchase. A 2004 Tiny Kitty Collier Basic Red Haired fashion doll. Made of hard plastic with a vinyl head, she is highly poseable, using her bending knees, swivel waist and rotational hip joint.


Tiny Kitty is 10 inches tall and comes wearing a sheer pink lingerie ensemble, comprising a bikini top and bottom, a short cover-up and a pair of co-ordinating sandals.


Her long flip hairdo is tied at the back with a pink ribbon. Her eyes are green and eyebrows match her hair colour. The 2004 Basic dolls have an updated face painted with beautiful full red lips and more sultry looking eyes. She also has painted fingernails and toenails which did not appear on the previous version.


I also purchased this beautiful outfit for her to wear. Now I have a long wait, as she is shipping from my friend Sally in Pennsylvania. However, since I have already waited years for the opportunity to acquire a Tonner Kitty, I am prepared to wait a little longer than normal for her arrival.


NOTES: The eagerly awaited Tiny Kitty Collier line was first introduced at Toy Fair in February 2003. The debut collection was comprised of three basic dolls (a brunette, a blonde and a redhead), each clad in lingerie, which retailed for US$40 each; four costumed dolls, which cost US$70-80; the “Bridal Bliss” hatbox set, which sold for US$140; six costumes, priced at US$35 each; and a wardrobe trunk, tagged at US$40. The basic Tiny Kitty dolls were annual editions; all other items were limited to editions of 2,000.

    I really like her face, she looks sweet and so beautiful. The dress you have purchased for her is stunning, I love the colour.
    Now is a nightmare to purchase overseas, I have nendoroids in pre-order that will be storaged for months because mail is suspended. I'm prepared to wait for a year (╥﹏╥)

      I think the outfit will suit her perfectly, it's certainly the right colour for a redhead. :)
      Oh I know, but I've waited so long for a Tiny Kitty, I'm sure I can wait a little longer. Hopefully our waits won't be that long.

    They are really beautiful dolls. The face is adorable and they seem to have a lot of really nice outfits designed for the,. That lavender dress you got for her though is beautiful. I can't wait to see her wearing it. She looks like she is jointed in the knees but I don't think their arms are?

      Hi Alasse,
      I've always admired Robert Tonner's work, he has sculpted quite a few dolls that I'd like to own one day. However, they are not easy to find at an affordable price, especially with the rotten conversion rates and shipping. Of course his clothing designs are not only stylish they are always of high quality too. Unfortunately the arms are not jointed on this one, but there are later editions that are.

    Sandi you have such beautiful grown up dolls in your collection...or soon to be arriving anyway. Kitty Collier is a gorgeous doll and many years ago I had a brunette version but the bigger size. She was very elegant and so pretty, and her outfit was really detailed, the shoes were just like real shoes cut down...a bit like all the shoes from Tonner. But it was my first experience of one of his dolls and I was amazed at the details. She left a long time ago but I still have the outfit here in a bag, it's never fit anyone else but I really like to look at it now and again.
    I love the lavender outfit too, that's so beautiful and so detailed.

      Thank you Sharon, I don't have quite as many grown ups as little girls, but I love them all, even just to look at. Kitty has been on my wish list for some time, but often they simply worked out to be too expensive to justify. I love Tonner clothes, but it's not surprising because they really are designer clothes in miniature and you know how much I love haute couture. :)
      Perhaps you will find another doll to fit that outfit one day, I do hope so.

    Hola Xanadu, todas las muñecas de Robert Tonner son preciosas, y Tiny Kitty me gusta también por su pequeño tamaño. El tamaño es importante en una colección, no sé porqué a pesar de que tengo poco espacio casi todas mis muñecas son grandes, jajajaja...
    Es una muñequita encantadora, tiene una cara muy dulce y femenina, y estoy deseando verla vestida con ese precioso conjunto.

      Hola Ilona, Oh, definitivamente estoy de acuerdo contigo allí. Robert Tonner ha diseñado muchas muñecas maravillosas y todas están bellamente vestidas. El Kitty de 16 "era solo un poco alto para mí, pero este pequeño debería caber en mi colección, aunque hubiera sido agradable si fuera solo una fracción más alta. Mi muñeca de tamaño favorita es probablemente de 12-14 pulgadas.
      Tengo muchas ganas de probarlo ella misma. :)

    My favorite things is getting new dolls. Sigh. I have a strict rule now, if I get a new doll, I have to sell an old doll. This keeps my buying under control as I don't want to part with any of my dolls! However, my rule sometimes takes a little beating, but don't tell anyone!

      Oh me too, and I have tried your rule, but it hasn't worked out so well for me. Unfortunately I am quite impulsive and allow my heart to rule my head, so many dolls arrive before I manage to sell one. I do try though. Hubby says I'm very trying!! LOL!
