It's taken some time and my search has continued. Not long after I had ordered Kitty and Sindy, I found one quite by chance, a 13" Want to Dance Tonner Agatha Primrose (Ltd.Ed. 500) with brunette hair. She had never been removed from her box and was reasonably priced, which made me extremely happy.
My dolls never keep their back stories, they develop stories of their own and I don't think this frilly dress is going to suit her personality at all, but one never really knows for sure what or who they are going to become, until they arrive and share their secrets.
I love her, so does hubby . . . she's definitely a keeper! I'm not sticking around today, too much to do . . . hope you are having a lovely dolly week!
She's so pretty! I thought on getting one when she came out, if possible a redhead or a brunette. I didn't get her and when I made up my mind Tonner had gone out of business. I'm looking forward to see more pics of her.
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying your time off.
Thank You MC. That's such a shame you missed out, but you should never give up looking. I often think the hunt is half the fun of collecting. :)

Oh wow she's gorgeous. That face is just so beautiful. Big congratulations are in order for being able to find one of these amazing girls. They are so hard to find. I love that her lips are slightly parted, almost like she's about to say something. And such expressive eyes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alasse. I guess this time it was a case of being in the right place at the right time. :) I like that too, it's a very natural look and works really well when you are telling a story.

ReplyDeleteThank you Chiriann, I thought so too! :)

Your Agatha Primrose is adorable! I was kind of disappointed with her premise, but she is a nice doll.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barb, I'm thrilled to have brought this girl home. :)

Such a pretty Primrose! She is a keeper! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Thanks Niina, I agree and she won't be going anywhere, I love this doll. :)

ReplyDeleteShe's supposed to be a nerdy school student, high school, I think. I was disappointed that she really wasn't at all like any of the nerdy young girls that I know, including my geeky daughter. Including the fact that Agatha apparently attends a fancy prep school.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty girl Sandi, I love her soft young look. I don't know why but I thought that Agatha Primrose had a big head, and can see that this one clearly does not, so I must be confusing her with someone else.
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous!
Big hugs xxx
Thanks Sharon, I feel so luck to have found her. Perhaps you were thinking of the Doll Chateau Agatha? She has a large head compared to her skinny body.

She is stunning! What a great find!

Thank you Brenda, I agree and feel so lucky. :)

Hi Linda, The dolls original stories are certainly interesting, but are not the reason I purchase a doll and I feel each of us can develop stories of our own depending how we see our dolls. There certainly is no requirement for us to use the sculptor's story-line. In Agatha's case her name alone could inspire a great detective story. :)
ReplyDeleteAt this stage I'm not sure what her story will be, but once I work it out I'll be posting it.
Big hugs,

She is so sweet and gentle. I wish I will find one some day.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on this lovely arrival! :)
Thank you Joanna, I hope you do, she is certainly a doll worth having.:)

Hi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteShe is gorgeous, congrats! You don't need to keep their back stories to enjoy them, that's the fun fact about playing with your imagination.
Greetings ^^
Hi Lily,
DeleteThank you. I totally agree with you, I enjoy making up my own stories and dressing dolls to suit. Sometimes I like to keep a story-line flexible, allowing the doll itself to influence the outcome. Collecting dolls should be fun and enjoyable, not restricted by other people's ideas or opinions.
Big hugs,

She's from 2015? she has an air to be much more of an old design, which I absolutely love. Those lips are really cute and the dress is very pretty. I love how she is still rocking her glasses with the gown.
ReplyDeleteHi Alejandra! I'm pleased you like her. :)

Heavens, how old was Suri Cruise when she wore her first pair of high heels??? 'Bout THREE??? Agatha looks like she's old enough.
ReplyDeleteI think so too RM. Thanks for dropping by. :)
