I think a name change is definitely in order, along with a new wardrobe of clothes. The things I like most about her are her ice-blue eyes and her fair skin colour. I'm not sure if there will be further changes though, a lot depends on how she appears IRL, but I do wonder what she would look like with red curly hair and paler lips. :)

Hola Ilona, yo también los amo, creo que tienen mucho potencial. Sin embargo, esperaré cambiar esta muñeca, se parece demasiado a Elsa de Frozen y ya tengo una Elsa.

Congrats! I would love to know how she looks with red curls and paler lips too. I think she looks a bit as if they thought "Hey, lets give her a Barbie make up". But her features are very sweet.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia, my thoughts exactly, and having a closer look at her eyes, there's a lot of eyeshadow that will need to be removed. I was so captured by the ice-blue eyes I never noticed it until later. So this "exclusive" doll will look entirely different by the time I'm finished with her. :)

Congratulations! She is such a lovely girl, very winter-y,as it seems :). Hopefuly you will get her soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Chiriann. Oh it will be quite awhile, she's not due to reach the UK until the end of February, so she probably won't reach me until March. That gives me plenty of time to prepare for her overhaul, I have already purchased a red curly wig. :)

DeleteAs I mentioned to RM she has good bones, only her fair skin and ice-blue eyes will stay, the rest will change completely. I'm not surprised you have heard the name before living where you do. I'm still thinking about a name for her, could possibly be Raya, not sure yet.

Yes she certainly has that vibe MC and unfortunately it's not one I want for her. There's a long wait for her, I'm expecting it will be March before she reaches me.

Her hair and eye color, plus the way her hair is styled, remind me of Elsa from Frozen. I'm looking forward to seeing her in person, and what you will do with her when she arrives to you.
ReplyDeleteI think many doll enthusiasts will see her that way Barb, if it wasn't for her skin and eye colouring I would not have purchased her at all. Changing skin colour is impossible when you want fair skin, and I don't like cutting a doll's head open to change eyes, but the rest is easy enough though. :)

Well it would certainly suit her fair skin Linda and I'm not really happy with the Barbie Pink lips at all, the more I look at her the more I dislike it! Eira means "snow" in Welsh, but it is also a Scandinavian name as well, a variant of Eir, the goddess of healing. I think if she's going have red hair, maybe she'll speak Welsh! If I was keeping the blonde hair I'd say she was Scandi!

Hola Maribel, estoy de acuerdo en que son muñecas muy bonitas e incluso pensé en comprarme Kayla en una ocasión, pero me decidí por las tres que compré. Aunque espero que termines con ella, es una muñeca preciosa.
