Well I finally found time to finish the last cardigan a few days ago, but I have been waiting for those darn boots which I ordered back on 18th January to arrive. At present there doesn't seem to be any sign of them, and all I am getting from the Russian Store on Etsy is, wait, wait, wait. I finally cracked it today and asked for a refund, I am still waiting for a reply.
I understand there have been delays caused by the pandemic, but even so, I haven't had to wait for over two months for any of my parcels, no matter where they have been shipped from.
Out of sheer frustration I ended up putting some Paola Reina shoes on them, but they are far too wide and long, even with tights on they are loose. However, I have managed to take a photo of the three of them together at long last.
Still undecided about the wig on Maya, it's just a tad too big and I think something shorter would suit her better, but that's something I will play with later.
On a brighter note, we have no-one with Covid in Victoria and as from Friday we will no longer have to wear those dreadful masks when we are out and about. However, if one is using public transport (which I don't) and visiting hospitals (don't do this either), people will still need to wear them though.

Oooh, they are such lovely ladies! This picture has some serious Spring-ish vibes too, with pastel colours and flowers, and the girls look so happy about their new clothes. And being together, of course :).
ReplyDeleteHere we are battling the third COVID wave now and another hard lockdown will probably be anounced today or tomorrow :(. Things look really grim at the moment. I hope at least Victoria will stay coronavirus free! Stay safe!

DeleteThe hard lockdowns worked for us and I'm really pleased our government did it as quickly as they did. It's difficult and frustrating at times, but worth it in the end. I hope it works for you and the tide begins to turn for all of Europe soon.

Me too Linda, but heaven only knows how long it will stay that way. They are bringing more people back home into hotel quarantine again next month and it seems every time they do this we have another outbreak and back into lockdown we go.
ReplyDeleteAnyway we are making the most of it while we can. We had our flu shots yesterday and speaking with our doctor, it's likely that in time, we will end up getting a combined flu and Covid shot each year. I just want this to end everywhere so all of us around the world can get back to some sense of normality.

They look so cute! I like that each of your girls has "her color". I wonder which color would you choose if you got a 4th one. Love that background you used, for a second I thought you did take the photo outside. The shoes arriving so late is a bummer, but at least you got a refund.

Here it has improved a bit, but it's going to get much worse after all the travelling during Easter Holidays (despite the restrictions). I have to go to the physiotherapist next week because I have terrible neck pain and I feel incredibly guilty, like I'm doing something wrong.

DeleteI actually do have a 4th but she's a Limited Edition so I won't be changing her outfit. I wish it did look like that backdrop outside, but it's dismal today. I'm still hoping the boots turn up, and if they do I will just pay her again, but I'm not holding much luck there, it's been too long.
I know people have to work and like you, have doctors to see, but unless one has to go out while there is Covid about, I think it's wiser to stay at home and wait for it to be over before going on holidays.
My weekend was pretty quiet, just visited my daughter on Sunday to put shelves up in her new unit. Hope yours was lovely too! 😊

Yes Rachael, it's Stella's original hair. Its' really pretty, but I'm at a loss to know how to style it yet, but given time I'll figure it out. Thank you, I'm pleased the way they have turned out.

Hello! I am so glad that you got a refund, for that was some extra long wait. Not even I have been waiting for so long time during the pandemic when it comes to abroad parcels. Hope that you can find some nice shoes from somewhere else to your lovely girls. They sure look pretty in their outfits!
