Sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I have been busy listing dolls for sale on eBay. Sorting out who is staying and who is going, then taking photos, listing etc. all takes time and there just doesn't seem to be enough of it.
Well no photos to share yet, however, Stella arrived promptly on 11th March as predicted by RRT (9 business days). She's as pretty as the other dolls, but if anyone is looking to order her, please be aware she has staining from the black top under her arms.
It did work out cheaper ordering directly from Ruby Red Toys, shipping was less expensive and she didn't take as long to arrive as I had expected. So for those in Australia needing a basic Fashion Friend it's the best option.
Although her hair is very pretty, I'm not sure I love it. So whether she will stay or go is yet to be determined. I'm really not looking forward to trying to remove it, hence my hesitation about changing it.
I will get round to you all soon, in the meantime . . . keep on dolling! 😘
Oh I agree there Linda. I also wonder why they always choose black in the first place, when we have so many other colours in the rainbow. She will be styled as my first two, so nothing outstanding coming. I like seeing my trios in clothes that are similar, it helps me remember who is who. 🤣
ReplyDeleteNow I'm on a roll, I want to keep at it, then hopefully in time, I will have a good dolly bank balance for the next European release.
Big hugs,
X
I agree with you, staining clothes should be avoided. And you both seem to have been busy selling. I don't envy you there- I find communication with buyers extremely stressful. Especially buyers who can't be bothered to read the description. But I hope you find the time to enjoy what you don't want to sell :).
ReplyDeleteIf I ever make anything black or red I always line them...that's one think Tonner was good at too!
DeleteYes, and still going Mia...fortunately I haven't had that problem, most have been very agreeable, some downright lovely!! Not just yet, but when I'm done it will be a huge relief.
Big hugs,

Congratulations on Stella's arrival! But I'm sorry to hear about the staining, hopefuly you will be able to remove it! I can't wait for her photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you Chiriann. I will try but it won't get any worse now I have removed her clothes. Soon, I promise.

Why does the blogger reader say this post was published 12 hours ago when it was published on Monday?
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Stella has arrived earlier than expected with a more affordable shipping option. Too bad that she has stains from the black clothes, I wonder if you could remove them. I have a few dolls with stains too, and I've heard that some acne creams can remove staining from clothing. I haven't tried it though.
Have a lovely rest of the week.
I have no idea MC, blogger does really strange things at times. LOL!
DeleteStains are gone now, I used Benzac, but I still haven't finished her cardigan, so still no photos to share.
Hope you're weekend is going well.
Big hugs,

Glad you are okay, I was worried!
ReplyDeleteAlso congrats on the arrival, I'm sorry about the staining as well D:
I'm fine Musume, just been really busy sorting out who is staying and who is going on eBay. I know it's not like me to be away so long, but I've finally found time to catch up with everyone.
DeleteThanks, she's looking good now!
Big hugs,

I look forward to seeing you new little lady!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm getting there slowly. Hopefully later this week. 😊

Staining is always an issue. I would love to have more black outfits matching some colorful pieces for my dolls but I am so afraid of the staining. On BJD's you still have a chance to clean but it is so much harder, I think when it comes to vinyl and plastic.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to meeting your new girl!
Yes, it's a real pain in the butt! But it has been rectified now, so I'm happy. 😊
