Saturday

All Dressed

I had a visit the other day from Vicky, one of the team from Janette's Doll Studio. She lives nearby and dropped my order off as she was passing by. She also brought an outfit which I wanted to purchase for Eloi.

As you can see, everything fits my Minouche dolls beautifully.

I also received those long awaited shoes from Russia and paid for them again!

Now my RRFF girls can model their completed outfit No.1 ... Sara has had a hat change and Maya a different wig.

I'm still working on outfit No.2, most is done but I had to wait until I could find some white 4ply wool locally, which I did yesterday. So after I've checked your latest posts, it's back to the knitting needles for me.

Hope you are all well and enjoying some dolly time of your own!

  1. Very pretty outfits. I love the color combinations you chose, they go so well together with the shoes and the hair/complexion. What needle-size did you use?

    1. Thank you Mia, it was a bit difficult matching the hats exactly as I only had the computer screen to judge the colours, but I think they look okay. I used 4ply wool with 2.25mm needles.

    2. Thank you! I think I need to get my hands on some smaller needles...

    3. You're welcome! If you want to knit to scale, smaller needles are a must Mia. I have always gone down in needle size because I'm not usually a tight knitter and smaller needles give a more even finish to my work.

  2. They all look so happy in their new outfits! The duck fabric still is adorable.

    1. Yes, I think they are Uschi. I love the duck fabric too, and these dolls are quite young looking and so they need something cute to wear. 😀

  3. Wow, your RRFF girls look fantastic! I'm glad your shoes finally came in, although it sounds like you still need to work something out there?

Imagine having something dropped off at your house from a doll crafter!

    1. Thanks Barb, I'm pleased with how they turned out. I'm not sure what you mean regarding the shoes. Elena had refunded me when they hadn't arrived on time, and when they turned up I repaid her.

Yes, it as really nice to meet Vicky and have a good chat about dolls face to face, she is so lovely. 😊

    2. I wasn't sure why you had to pay for them twice; I didn't know if this was the same package that got lost earlier.

    3. That's okay Barb, sometimes I forget people can't read my mind. LOL!

  4. Everything looks simply fantastic! Congratulation on your new purchases and yay for the shoes from Russia - they finally reached you! Your girls look happier than ever ;).
Sadly, I have almost zero dolly time lately... Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to add new entry to my blog... at long last.

    1. Thank you Chiriann, I'm a happy with everything and more importantly, so are my dolls. 😊
Oh that's not good, we all need time with our dolls, well at least I do, it keeps me in a good frame of mind. I hope you find time to enjoy your dolls soon.

  5. Thank you Linda. Being a bear lover, I knew I had to have that outfit for Eloi, and like all the other clothes from Janette's store, it's beautifully made.
Those shoes are like real ones, so much detail in such a tiny size and the colours are awesome.

    1. Thank you Dorian. I have been on a knitting binge for months now, which is rather unusual for me as I tend to sew through the summer. Perhaps because we didn't have a normal summer this year, hardly any hot days at all. But who's to say what will happen next in this cockeyed world we have today. Maybe I'll sew through winter!! 🤣
