I just wish everyone would get vaccinated and put an end to this bloody virus!
I was really looking forward to going out to dinner with friends tomorrow evening and getting my hair done next week.
On top of that eBay have changed their payment system requiring all sellers to provide them with banking details, which I shan't be doing . . . so there will be no more sales from me on eBay after the 18th June.

I know the feeling, I am so sorry you're in Lockdown again. We just got over the last one, (I have only been allowed to work for 6 weeks so far this year). I'd love to get vaccinated, but there's not enough for everybody, so I have to wait. I hope they will be able to reduce the numbers and you can start a normal life again soon :(
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia. It seems every time we think we are safe, quarantine has a hiccup and the virus escapes again!! I know it's difficult for everyone around the world at present, but sometimes one just has to vent. I also understand there are problems for some to get their hands on the vaccine, I just get annoyed when it is available, like here in Australia, not everyone is taking advantage of it. Then when you hear on the TV that people are requesting initiatives (like payment) it makes one scratch their head ... isn't the possibility of dying enough initiave?? I get so fed up with people blaming the government for everything and continually expecting handouts all the time (and I'm not referring to businesses that have suffered) just those who won't get off their butts and do something for themselves.

Oh no! I can feel with you as we haven't gotten out of lockdown here from the beginning of October, though there were promises for Christmas, for Easter... So frustrating when you think you've seen the end of it and it starts all over again.

I think it's frustrating for all those who simply want some sense of normality back. I'd rather have ONE LONG LOCKDOWN, than several short ones, it's the up and down all the time that drives me mad.
DeleteI do hope everyone who wants to get vaccinated has the opportunity to do so, and the silly idiots that keep stirring the pot and saying stupid things about not wanting to get vaccinated can rot as far as I'm concerned.

Yup, you are so right Dee. I so look forward to dining out anytime (hate cooking all the time) but it's more diappointing when you cannot do it with friends.
DeleteI don't feel at all happy about letting them have all my bank details, I'd much rather it go through PP even though their are fees. You can expect what you save by not using PP will get sucked up with eBay fees eventually, they are so greedy!!
Ha ha! It's only supposed to be for a week, but we have had a planeload from India just arrive, so who knows what will happen next???

I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope the newest lockdown will be over soon. Here most of the restrictions were lifted, but seeing that so many people doesn't want to get vaccinated, I'm sure we will have new, fresh lockdown at the end of summer holidays :(.
ReplyDeleteThank you, it's supposed to be only for a week, but who knows these days, they have said that before and it's been extended. I honestly don't understand some people, can't they see what's right before their eyes...so many sick and so many dying...they are crazy not to get vaccinated. I'm so annoyed with this type of mentality, that if those who refuse to get vaccinated get sick, I say it serves themselves right, and I have little sympathy for them!

It drives me insane! I’ve been trying to get vaccinated for ages. I’m not old enough to be eligible. Then people like Richard Branson are carrying on on the media about how there’s no excuse to not get vaccinated. But unless you’re a priority group you can’t get vaccinated. And then the government says this is because of “poor vaccine uptake.” It’s a bit stupid. They should remove all the restrictions and just vaccinate everyone that tries to walk into woolies or something.

Crappy feeling. It is like living between hope and misery. I have longed for a while for a nice road trip and eating at a restaurant, but we are still in 'no go' for things like that. I have taken my first vaccination and will take the second one later in June. Stay safe!

Recently saw the news about the extended lockdown! Unfortunately, we don't have the news channel on at home these days anymore. But if you ask me about Play School, I can usually tell you what episode it was!!
