A Website Worthy of Mention

I know some of my readers sew, knit and crochet quite well, while others would like to, but lack confidence. This led me to search the internet for some websites with clear, easy to follow free patterns which I could share links to.

Most are for 14" and 18" dolls, which by using your printer to reduce or enlarge the patterns, could be used for other sizes as well.

I found many websites which SELL patterns, but very few that provide FREE patterns. There were even less to actually provide tutorials in a way that anyone could follow them, even the most inexperienced.

The following website has some wonderful patterns that are fully explained with photographs, as well as with videos, which makes them perfect patterns for beginners.

This website also has other crafty ideas which would be fun to make. I hope, should you take advantage of these patterns and either sew, knit or crochet something, you will share photos of what you make and give credit to Bankky!

    1. You're welcome Mia, there surely is some inspiration there. I haven't had a chance to read everything myself yet, but will return to it soon.

  2. Thanks for sharing this lady's site, and what a lovely generous lady she is with her great patterns.
I always give credit if I use someones pattern to make something, I know some that won't tell because they want the glory for themselves or don't want others to make the item.
    People can be strange !
My problem tends to be I have lots of patterns and with the best will in the world never actually get round to making anything!!! lol
    But one day....

    1. It's a great site with lots of ideas and understand what you're saying Dee, but luckily there are still those who are more caring and who are happy to share.
I have a lot of patterns too and there's not enough time to make them all, which is just as well or I'd end up with more clothes than I'd know what to do with. 🤣

  3. Yes I agree, those pieces and the felt food could be made in dolly size and used as props. I would say we are certainly lucky with our group of readers, they are all very special. 😍

  5. Hello! I have too noticed that many sites have patterns for dolls, but often with a price tag on it and no tutorials. The site you found looks great and I will browse there. Some patterns, as you say, can be enlarged or reduced to the size you want. Hope to find something fun to make! Hugs!
