I've been meaning to take some photos of my 25.5cm (10") Cissette ever since she arrived and finally I did. She is a Madame Alexander Millennium Masquerade #26495, which was made in 1999, then retired.
She's a pretty five way jointed doll who is extremely well dressed, the details of her clothing are perfect right down to her white satin shoes and evening gloves. Her pearl trimmed, tiered gown is exquisite.
Her blue eyes close and her blonde wig is beautifully styled, there's not a hair out of place. The back of her gown is just as beautiful as the front. She is wearing a pearl necklace and earrings.
She's very pretty and her accessories are lovely, which is to be expected from Madame Alexander.
ReplyDeleteI think her dolls were always beautifully dressed Barb, and so well finished. Not at all like what you see on some dolls when you purchase them today.

Oh, I love dolls that commemorate the millennium! Did you ever see the super-blingy Millennium Bride Barbie? She was ridiculously expensive, but she was a feast for the eyes!
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't RM. Do you have one? I'd love to see her.

I wouldn't mind getting a couple more of these dolls, they are really lovely, but for display only. No Linda the mask is only a prop, but it's also well made.

Awww, she is so elegant, straight from the charity ball for the high society! The jewelery looks so real, and the gown is breathtaking. It could also work as a luxurious wedding dress ;). Hugs, hugs!
ReplyDeleteShe certainly looks that way Chiriann. :) It's funny you should say that, I actually have her displayed with two other brides.

She is pretty in her amazing outfit and pearls! A pretty lady! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Niina. ❤

From the looks of her dress and hairdo it must be the royal gardens - at least! Very pretty.
