Oh my will I ever learn?? This week I've been spending my time looking at all the Zwergnase dolls and I came across these not so little beauties. I know browsing is the worst thing for me to do, because I always find something or I should say SOMEONE to tempt me . . . and these two are far too much temptation for me to resist.

I didn't realise that Zwergnase made ball jointed dolls, but I guess collectors these days are looking for dolls they can easily pose for photos and you have to admit BJD's do it best. I'm not even sure if they are jointed like the Asian BJD's, all I know is they are in 11 pieces . . . I'm so curious about these dolls, does anyone own one yet, perhaps a Nili 1?
I realise both these dolls are from the same face mould, but the vinyl, eye and wig colours provide them with an entirely different look. I would love them to be twins, but if it comes to having to make a choice, I think I would have to order Nili 3 first and see how my dolly budget pans out before ordering Nili 2.

Limited to 25 worldwide, the dolls are 65cm tall, with hand blown glass eyes and come dressed as shown. Price 845 euros which currently converts to AU$1,308.20 and that's without shipping! However, if I can purchase from MDBF I'll be happy as the conversion and the shipping will work out better for me . . . though I will still have to put them on layby.
Yes, I'm tempted, but I'd have to sell a kidney and my spleen in order to afford one! I like Nili 3 and her darker tone and theme the best. This is definitely a new thing for me; I had no idea Zwergnase was playing with jointing.
ReplyDeleteI know she's expensive RM, so I'll have to pay her off. She will also be well over our customs limit, so duty will be required on top of her price when she arrives, but let's face it, you only live once!!
DeleteI think the additional jointing is a new thing with them, and I really have no idea what it looks like, so I will take photos and share when she does arrive.

Awww, they are gorgeous!! Such luck, that I usually collect more mature looking dolls, or I would have to sell some of my organs too ;). The price is high, but they are really fantastic, especially Nili 3...

ReplyDeleteWell some dolls are not for all of us, and it's probably just as well as there is not enough in this edition for everyone. LOL! I just hope I don't miss out on Nili 3, I am so in love with her face.

Ahh! We learn something new everyday Linda. :) I did the same and came up empty, I did find a couple of photos of Nili 1 though. Such a pity I missed out on her, she had red hair!! I will share photos once I get one, I bet there are others curious about the jointing too.

*Raising my hand* I am so tempted! But I need to sit still in the dolly boat. I did not know that Zwergnase made jointed dolls. These dolls look amazing and tall! Hope you can get one! :) Hugs!
