Well after a long time away, an operation and recuperation, I've finally been inspired to return to dolls. However, before I share my inspiration I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families.
Finally Gotz have brought me a red-haired doll that's not a Hannah. This lovely Celtic doll from the Scottish highlands has pale green eyes, natural cheek contours and full lips. She is an original sculpt by Elisabeth Lindner for Gotz.
She is 50cm (19.5") tall with a full vinyl multi-jointed body. Edda wears a black & red plaid skirt, white top, a belted denim short jacket, socks, black sturdy boots laced with red ribbon, head scarf and comes with her own black Scottie dog, lead & collar.
I've ordered her from My Doll Best Friend, so it will be a little while before I can hold her. However, I do have a little one to keep me busy for now. I pre-ordered her back in August and she arrived sometime in October, but I only opened her today. She is a Gotz Little Kidz Rainbow . . . I'll share more about her later on my other blog.
Dear Xanadu! I wish you all the best in the New Year 2023!

Lovely to see you again, my friend! And what a lovely young lady you've chosen! I can't wait to see her.
ReplyDeleteThank you RM it's good to be back. Me neither, but it's a 15 day delivery so we have to be patient.

Hi Linda, thank you for your good wishes. I'm not so sure about her name, I think it's a bit too masculine, what are your thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI have some more news which I will sharing later, but it's all good news!
Big hugs,

Mmm not sure, I think I will have to wait until she arrives and see what she says about her name. I was so pleased to find her though, as she has the same face as Lily of London which I missed out on. They did bring out Frieda with the same face, but I didn't like the colour of her lips, they were much to dark for a little girl.
ReplyDeleteI'm so please to read that, my Happy Kidz collection has now reached ten and the Little Kidz three.
So good to have you back!! Best wishes for the 2023!! Edda definitely is lovely, green-eyed redheads are usually stunnig :)!
ReplyDeleteThank you Chiriann, I'm pleased to be back, I missed you all. :)
