Hubby has been bugging me about what I'd like for Christmas this year and wouldn't you know it, I couldn't think of anything I'd like more than dolls. He said go look for them now so you don't miss out, after all shipping from overseas can sometimes take a little while as we get closer to the 25th December.
I had already ordered Carmen as a sibling for Avery and Sophia and she was due to arrive this coming week, so I looked at all my other Gotz dolls to see who might need companions. Clara has Emma and Luisa; my Chosen Kitty has Katie and Ella; that left me thinking about Greta.
So I decided I would like Lea and 75th Jubilee Greta as her siblings, however, the second Greta would need to have her name changed. The dolls themselves are quite different from my first Greta and neither will stay as they are, I want to redo their hair and change their outfits as I'd like all three siblings have a similar look.

Ooo, that little elf reminds me of Annette HImstedt's dolls!
ReplyDeleteI guess she is a little like them RM, nowhere near their size though. π
DeleteSuch a fantastic Christmas presents! Now you just have to wait till (almost) end of December ;). Indeed, those teeths look a bit... worrying, but it may be just the company photo :).
ReplyDeleteThanks Chiriann, but you know how impatient I am, they will probably get opened before then. π I will want to check those teeth out for sure. π
DeleteThat’s so lovely that your husband supports your doll hobby π₯°
ReplyDeleteI’ve never received dolls for Christmas, but this year my husband gave me Barbie Looks dolls for my birthday — the best gift ever!
People around me don’t really understand my doll passion, but I still enjoy every new doll with all my heart ❤️
He's always been supportive of whatever hobby I have had over the years. Maybe yours will have another surprise for you at Christmas Inesa, I hope so. π
DeleteI know how you feel, I often wish my daughter was interested, it would be nice to have someone in the family to actually share the hobby with. π
Hello and what a lovely way to be supportive in your doll hobby. I am glad too that my family supports me with my hobby and never get tired when I come around I tell them the latest doll news or an order I want to make. It makes it so much easier and funnier.
ReplyDeleteI have my eyes on some dolls (A Blythe, an Integrity Toys Tulabelle Lark Lawrence Bubble Up and a Tonner doll Evangeline Ghastly Disenchanted Evening, all on second hand through other collectors. It is on auction, so that can go what ever way, though. Got some outfits to my first Blythe I bought earlier, and that was lovely.
Big Hugs!
Just as well he does or I could drive him crazy. I also have a Blythe, a IT Tullabelle, and a couple of Tonner's Evangeline series of dolls (you can check them out in the listing I have on my other blog https://studio1283.blogspot.com/). I do hope you manage to win your auctions Niina. π
DeleteThe dolls that you have picked out are all very cute. I'll be interested to see what you do with them. Before I got into the doll collecting world online, it never really occurred to me to change my dolls around very much. My family doesn't mind getting me dolls for Christmas, but they like buying me other things too, so I have to come up with other ideas. For my birthday, my husband did buy me a few wall and floor printables for dollhouse creations, which is nice also.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barb. Yes it's really lovely when the family are onboard. My daughter has also been asking me what I want for Christmas, but as I get older the need for "stuff" gets less and it seems I'm always left to saying "I only need dolly things". I might see if my daughter might like to buy some nice real leather shoes for one or two of my latest arrivals this year.
DeleteCannot wait to see those wall and foor printables being used, doll house decorating is so much fun. I still need to decorate my Melissa & Doug dollhouse which hubby bought me last Christmas. π
