Our January Adventure

The girls and I recently joined the "Adventurer's Club" over at Heather's blog. The girls were really keen, but I don't usually participate in these type of things, as it takes total commitment and I'm not really good at that. I'm more of an impulse kinda gal, but as it was only once a month and it was a good way to challenge my photography skills, I figured I could handle it without feeling any pressure.
As the first theme for the month of January was "Weather" and knowing how so many of my blogging friends are suffering the worst kinda winter this year, we decided to share a little warmth and some of our Aussie sunshine. :)

January Entry - A Day at the Beach

  1. Hello Sandy,
Lucky girls...the weather has been brutal here in Montreal, but you get used to it...tell the girls to build a sand castle for me.
    Big hug,
    Giac

    1. Hi Giac!
Yes we have heard news of the cold and snow in Canada & USA, it makes me really appreciate Australia even more ... I cannot stand being cold.

Don't worry the girls will build lots of sandcastles for you.
      Hugs,
      X

  3. Sam here. My arms are heavy after shoveling two feet of heavy wet snow just now. It is -5 degrees Celsius and it is going to get colder. Your girls look like they are enjoying the warm sunshine. Oh boy, I really miss the beach!

    1. Hi Sam!

I love looking at pictures of the snow, but there is no way in this world, or the next, I'd trade places with you ... give me good old Aussie sunshine any day!

So you have my deepest sympathy ... I think you should just pretend to be a bear and hibernate through the whole lot. :) (Bit hard to do with kids though.)

      Many hugs,
      X

  4. It's a beautiful pic, Sandi. Your girls look really cute ^^ Good luck with the contest!
Here we don't have snow and I would really like to have some, but it's cold outside and has been raining. I like this weather anyway xD
    Hugs, Lily

  5. Thanks Lily, still working on the photography and slowly getting better. Thanks also for the good wishes.

Now we could do with some of your rain (but preferably at night while I'm sleeping) the garden is looking a bit dry. Do you put on your Wellies/Gumboots and jump in the puddles? Or are you like me, and hibernate in front of the fire when it's cold and wet?

Hope your week is off to a good start.
    Hugs,
    X

    1. No problem, Sandi ^^ Don't give up, practice makes the master, you know.

If I could, I could send you some of our rain (today is raining again, lol). Yeah, I'm like a little kid who enjoy jumping in the puddles if I'm wearing the appropiate shoes xDD But it's also nice to stay home when it's cold and wet.

      Hugs, Lily
