Dollmore Dolls

I haven't intentionally been avoiding you all, but ever since I purchased my Narsha, I have been engrossed in Dollmore's website. There are soooo many beautiful dolls on there which I had never seen before. I think browsing there could have been a big mistake on my part, because now I think I will have to add their Kid Grammy to my wish list.

At first I looked at getting the Memorial Box Grammy, which I thought was really nice, but I really like the basic Grammy's very soft face up more. I do need a blonde in my doll family and this face up is perfect for a blonde, don't you think?

If any of you have Dollmore dolls (I know Carolyn and Niina do) I would really love to hear what you think of their posing abilities and see what you have done with them.

  1. I always debate over getting the magazine they offer that feature their dolls. The Dollmore Kids are all so gorgeous. I actually quite like Dollmore face ups. I think this girl would fit nicely in your crew ... but yes, looking at lovely doll photos can be very tempting (and bad for the wallet!)

    1. Oh you are so right Alasse, I must learn to stop looking, but sometimes the urge to look is too strong. :) Now I'll have to go check their magazine myself!

  2. I love dollmore dolls, they have the classic doll look while still looking very new :D
I don't have any experiences with them though, so I can't help you with what you need, but I do agree blonde suits this sculpt very well.
    Have a great weekend!

    1. I am quite surprised by the amount of dolls available on the Dollmore site, it took me forever to look at them all! Of course she is a blonde in my eyes right now, but Alejandra you know what dolls are like, they can change your whole idea of how you want them to look in an instant. :)
Hope you are enjoying your weekend too!

  3. Oh, those dollies are totally adorable. I liked the Memorial Box Grammy, in red, a lot. Strangely, because I am more into blue. Kid Dollmore and Alex Doll are some wonderful dollies and I am so glad that they have a little version of Lusion Dahlia too!
So far I have not heard about any difficulties with posing abilities, but I have heard that some think it is hard to find clothes for these dolls, if you can not make them yourself. :) But I know that some clothes from Iplehouse can fit well and so even patterns to dolls in the same size as BID and KID.
And I agree - the face up is just perfect for a blonde!

    1. I did too Niina, but the blonde version really got to me.
The clothes don't worry me as I make most of mine myself, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm relieved to hear that they pose well though.

  4. It's some really interesting dolls. Even though I have owned a Model Doll girl, I know next to nothing about them O: It's a shame, since they have some really cute dolls!
I look forward to seeing pictures of your girl or girls, if you buy this one too ;)

    1. Hi Nikki,
You don't hear a lot about these dolls, that's the reason I asked. Maybe I will do a review when my doll (or dolls arrive, still debating on where Grammy will fit in).

Thank you, I think she does too! Perhaps Dollmore will tempt you at some future date. :)

  6. Ahh, Dollmore dolls are very underrated in general, it seems? But I quite like them! I used to own a Model Ipsae from them and her posing was lovely, I quite like their face-ups too!

    1. I wonder why that is Irene? Fron all I've read on DoA today they pose quite well and the majority of their default face ups are quite lovely. I hope you don't mind my asking, but what made you move on from your Model Ipsae?

  7. Dollmore has such a fantastic variety of dolls, don't they? I know I've been engrossed by their site as well!

I have one of their Glamour Models (Mettaa) and he's brilliant - huge, but poses like no other doll I have. Wonderful face sculpt too. I've been thinking about picking up one of their Judith dolls at some point as well, but haven't gone for it yet. One of these days maybe!

    1. Hi JS,
Yeah, I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw the list of dolls.

I should say he's huge, he must be heavy too! Definitely has attitude that one. The Judith dolls are LE and look like they sell out reasonably quickly, and they have the most fabulous hands!!

    1. Thank you Giac. I haven't ordered her yet, she will stay on my wishlist until next year as I would like to see what Zihu is like at posing first (same company).

  9. My lazy Dollmore girls are kipping in their boxes just now. They both had previous owners so were not new when they came to me. Lilith always had a bit of a slack leg - could definitely do with a restring. Torrie poses wonderfully and I love her dainty body. Both have 4 sets of ears short, medium and long elf ears and mermaid ears. It's a bit of a carry on getting them in and out tho! There are a couple of little pics down the right hand side of my blog - Moonflower (Lilith) and Dewberry (Torrie).
You have inspired me to get these girls out and have a play. I might even take some pics and post them on my blog (but that might be going a bit too far) ^_^ xx

    1. Thank you for all this info Carolyn. My Serendipity Sharmin also has changeable ears so I understand they can be fiddly, but I do like that you can change them. :)I did see them there this time, though I have missed seeing them before as they are right at the bottom of your page.
I do hope you take some pics and post them on your blog, it's been such a long time since you posted anything (Feb) and I've missed your fairy posts.
