Project: Pippi Longstocking 4

Well she's finally finished.

According to the story Pippi is dressed in a blue dress with red patches, all because she ran out of blue fabric. Realistically if you ran out of fabric, you would not add patches to a completed dress, you would simply cut the parts where you were short in a different fabric.

So that is exactly what I have done with my Pippi's dress. :)

Instead of patches, she has an odd red strap and a patch pocket.

It's a beautiful day here in Melbourne, the sun is shining and there's very little wind, so I'm off to enjoy it and perhaps take a few dolly photos. I hope you are all enjoying a relaxing weekend too!
Big hugs,
X

    1. Thanks Alasse, I am so glad you do. I thought about doing patches like it said in the book, but it didn't make sense to do it any other way than the way I did it. :)

  3. I really like what you've made her, and how you've put your Pippi together. She's already a cute little girl, with a sweet and cheeky face, and the dress is just perfect for her, along with the boots and stockings.
Enjoy your day, it was a beautiful day here today too :)
    Big hugs xx

    1. Thank you, it's a pretty simple dress Sharon, just made out of strips of fabric, but it seemed to suit her (and I think Pippi's own sewing capabilities), I so am pleased you like it. :)

The weather has been even warmer today, so I am glowing!! LOL!
