Project: More 1:6 Scale Furniture (Part 1)

Just over a week ago, I ordered more furniture pieces to play with.

One tall wardrobe and ten tiny hangers.

A round dining table and two sturdy chairs.

Plus two rolls of pretty wallpaper.

Everything arrived in good time from Fairy Meadow Miniatures and the wardrobe and hangers are painted the same colour grey as the other pieces. The table and chairs are going to be used in a different room, and will be painted midnight blue.

The room box still hasn't progressed any further than a picture in my noggin' and a few scribbles jotted down on paper. However, the picture is much clearer and construction pieces are being researched and noted for future purchase. More details will follow at another time.

Hope your week is going to be productive too!
Big hugs,
X

    1. Hi Giac, this isn't my wardrobe, it's a photos from the website where I purchased mine. My photos will be posted as soon as I have finished painting and filling mine with the appropriate items. :)

  2. The new furniture pieces are lovely! I specially adore tiny hangers (with hearts :D)! The wardrobe with all those little treasures is fantastic decoration by itself too...

    1. Hi Chirann,
Thank you. They had other designs in the hangers, but I really liked the hearts the best. I am making my own things to go in my wardrobe, so it should look quite a bit different to this one when I'm done. :)

    1. Thanks BB, I'm happy you think so. This size definitely does need space, but I am hoping to clean up enough in my doll room to fit this diorama in, plus another smaller one that's also in the pipeline. :)

    1. Thank you Niina. Me too! I have a set of Beatrix Potter but it's in a larger size suitable for my play dolls. I think I have shown it on here before.
Oh I am, and hope you are too! :)

  5. I'm sure the room box will come together when it's meant to. I'm looking forward to seeing how your wardrobe turned out. I still haven't got around to ordering mine yet but I will. I hope they do release more 1/6 scale things. I noticed there's a lot for smaller sizes and only a small selection for 1/6 right now.

    1. You're right Alasse, I guess as enthusiastic as I am right now, I can't do everything. LOL! I want to show the wardrobe once it's filled and there are quite a few bits to make to get it just how I want it.

I'd like to see more in 1:6 scale too, but there is certainly enough now to keep me busy for months!

    1. Thank you. There just isn't enough hours in the day Alejandra, I have so much to do for this diorama. I began making bolts of fabric last night, and that's just the beginning. :)

    1. Oh we are going to have so much fun Musume!! I think you can do a lot of different things with all these pieces, and I must say I like your idea of a café . . . perhaps a sidewalk one like they have in Paris. :)
