I have just finished sewing some simple dresses for three of my KID's and had a quick photoshoot today in keeping with the current season of Halloween . . . so stand by for some more "double, double toil and trouble" from siblings Irene, Lonnie and their older cousin Paige.
I ended up keeping the red wig for Lonnie, and just restyled it so it didn't cover so much of her face. I may replace it at a later date if I find a red one that's short and curly.
Lonnie has a beautiful dress. Looks better. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm pleased you think so. :)

My mom was looking over my shoulder when I looked at these, and she got all excited. Halloween is definitely our holiday! Your girls look adorable.
ReplyDeleteHi RM!
DeleteDoes your mom collect dolls too? I think even if you are in a country that doesn't celebrate it in a big way, it's still a fun time of year and my dolls love it. Thank you. :)

Ooh, your three little witches are so cute! I love their Halloween dresses. Lonnie looks lovely, but I must say that Irene is still my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteThey are still not completed, but I was anxious to see how they photographed. :) I'm glad you think they are cute, thank you. Irene thanks you too!

What lovely dresses, the girls must be thrilled to have them in time for Halloween :) I particularly like Irene's photo above, although I like all three dresses.
ReplyDeleteFinding a short curly wig is such a challenge. Years ago I had a lovely one and sent it off with the doll when I sold her, thinking that I'd replace it. Of course we all know how that goes, the company stopped making that one and I've never been able to find anything similar....it taught me a lesson though!!!
Big hugs Sharon xx
Thank you Sharon. They are the easiest to make when you're in a hurry and I think all three came up quite well. I don't really like torn edges, but I thought it suited this style, them being little witches. :)
DeleteOh I have done similar with dresses, and then haven't been able to find the material again. It can be so frustrating, can't it? I think we both need to think carefully before sending things off in the mail. LOL!

I just love Paige! :)
ReplyDeleteAll three dresses are wonderful. Girls look absolutely great wearing them.
I think this hairstyle is beautiful but too serious for Lonnie. It looks great but it is more suitable for a lady in Marie Antoinette's dress. ;)
Me too Joanna. :) The dresses are pretty basic, but I am happy with the way they turned out. Yes, I know it's still pretty pouffy, and I can see why you would think that, but it will have to do for now.

Red wig, after the styling, looks great on Lonnie! :) Cute dresses!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Thank you Niina, but I most probably will still change it when I find the right one. :)

Those are really pretty dresses, I really love the fabrics you used and the girls are styled beautifully. I adore the way you did Lonnie's wig. It looks so nice on her and now you can see that pretty face of hers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Alasse, I was lucky with the fabrics, they had been in my fabric stash just waiting for the right time to be used. Although the wig is looking better on Lonnie, I am still thinking of changing it when I find the right wig . . . I have this image of a short curly carrot wig in my mind, but do you think I can find one . . . not on your nellie! LOL!
