THE AUSTRALIAN NEWSPAPER |
PLEASE NOTE: I AM RE-POSTING THIS FROM THE BENDIGO BANK WEBSITE
100% of all donations will be directed to communities in need.
This bushfire event is far from over and we are committed to supporting all communities impacted across Australia.
Bendigo Bank has partnered with The Salvation Army, to establish an appeal with 100% of donated funds going directly to communities in need.
The appeal will be conducted by the bank’s charitable arm, Community Enterprise Foundation™, and funds raised will be used in a range of locally identified charitable areas to provide relief and recovery in the fire affected areas.
Donations can be made at any Bendigo Bank branch or online at Community Enterprise Foundation.
If you are living outside Australia and would like to donate, please email Community Enterprise Foundation at: foundation.mailbox@bendigoadelaide.com.au and we will assist with your donation.
All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and donors will be provided with a tax receipt through the Foundation.

I'm currently taking a little break, but will be back to catch up on your blogs soon.
I'm so sorry about all that's been happening in Australia, stay safe my friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Alejandra,
DeleteThank you, we will.
Big hugs,

I tried to donate, but they wouldn't accept it because I live in the US. The only state options I got were states in Australia. This situation with y'all is breaking my heart, though, and if I can find a way to donate I will. You folks are never far from my thoughts and prayers. PLEASE be careful!
ReplyDeleteHi RM,
DeleteThank you. If would like to donate, please email Community Enterprise Foundation at: foundation.mailbox@bendigoadelaide.com.au and they will assist with your donation.

This is just so devastating. Australia is my most favorite place I've ever traveled to and it's so sad to see these uncontrollable fires just running so rampant in this amazing country. I will definitely donate, and I hope you are able to stay safe. Is QLD being affected? That is where I studied abroad in my early 20s. (James Cook Uni in Cairns).
ReplyDeleteQueensland has also been effected Farrah, from the Gold Coast down to NSW, then all the way through NSW coast into Victoria. So far the north of Queensland has escaped, but summer is not over here yet. The only state not affected as far as I know is the Northern Territory, every other state has fires and now Western Australia has a cyclone and floods to contend with. If it's not one thing, it's another!!!
DeleteUnfortunately the number of homes destroyed in this fire season continues to rise - now 724 homes confirmed lost, 2.7 million hectares burn. More than 20 people have been killed, and a fire the size of Manhattan is raging in our state of Victoria alone.
It isn’t just ‘one fire’ that’s threatening a particular area or town — the fires are everywhere (north, south and west) for those impacted in the coastal areas of New South Wales, the total area on fire is larger than Belgium.
Thank you for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteIt's so horrific even to read about these fires.
Thank you Joanna.

Quite a few local places here are doing Bushfire Appeals this week where the proceeds are going to help out with this crisis. I'll be donating to a few of these this week. It is really heartbreaking. As we said recently, the worst bushfire season we've seen in Australia.
ReplyDeleteHi Alasse,
DeleteIt's really good to see the positive responses from everyone who is either donating to the Bushfire Appeal, to Wires or WWF. Devastation like this brings out the best (and the worst) in people, than heavens there are more of the best!
Big hugs,

It's so horrible... I hope you and your loved ones are safe! Donations for Australia started here too. It hurts to even think about all those lost lives, both of people and animals...
ReplyDeleteAustralians are pretty resilient and they with all your help recover in due course. Thank you Chiriann.

Thank you YeYe and I'm sure if the animals could speak, they would thank you too!

Hi Sandi, I'm sorry that I've not been in touch, I'm slowly catching up with the blogs and emails. I will be in touch really soon I hope. Please stay safe.
ReplyDeletexxxxx Big hugs xxxx
Not a problem Sharon, I know you've had your mum to care for. I haven't really been in the mood for dolly blogging much anyway the past few weeks, too much going on around us. It seems to get like that over the Christmas/New Year period. :) Please don't worry, we are completely safe in Melbourne.
