Rainbow Evening

I caved and purchased a friend for Angelique . . . she makes an even number in this collection, so there will be one more of these dolls to come . . .  when I find the right mix. :)

Rainbow Evening Parnilla was designed by Joe Petrollese (former design director at the Tonner Doll company), sculpted by Robert Tonner and made exclusively for the 2014 Wilde Imagination Ghastly Collection. Long sold out and difficult to find, she was a limited edition of just 350 pieces.

This fetching Parnilla will arrive bearing inset blue eyes behind lush applied lashes, and a thick mane of rooted chestnut hair, which has been side swept into an up-do.

She wears a faux fur trimmed long slinky iridescent gown with bead buttoned front and dainty beaded ribbon accents on the cuffs.

Completing her ensemble is an antiqued gold and purple necklace; an enchanting hairpiece of beads, ribbon, faux flowers and tulle; coordinating tights; and a pair of shimmering black pumps. She was US$199 when released.

These are Tonner's original photos, and although the photos taken by her previous owner were nice enough, there wasn't one that showed her face in the best light. Once I have a complete set of the three Ghastly girls (Angelique, Parnilla and Evangeline herself) I will photograph them all together.

Hopefully she will arrive in good time. :)

    1. Thank you Chirann, she is quite different from the dolls I have already, but after receiving Angelique and seeing how beautiful these dolls are IRL, I knew there would be more of these dolls to come. I am going to limit it to three though and will photograph them all together when they have all reached me. :)

  2. Her face paint looks spectacular in the promo pic; I hope it looks as nice in real life.

    1. Oh me too Barb. The photos that the previous owner showed weren't bad, but I decided to wait until she arrives to take my own. I think she will be okay though. :)

  3. I hope she will join you soon. The girl sure looks as if she had a mind of her own. I wonder what kind of fabric her gown is made of.

    1. Oh I think the wait will be a long one Mia, most of the parcels I have had coming from the USA are now taking over a month to get here. My parcel of four books sent via USPS at the end of last month has now gone to Japan and was dispatched from Tokyo on the 24th, but still no touch down in Australia.
I have a feeling the fabric will most probably be some sort of synthetic, but I'll provide more details when she arrives. :)

      Grandes abrazos,

  5. Thank you Linda, I've been very lucky lately, but my bank balance hasn't been quite so. Still what's money for, can't take it with me, there are no pockets in shrouds. LOL! She's quite an unusual looking doll with that hair, it's almost a 1940's style. I'm afraid the wait will be long, but I've kind of resigned myself to it now.
    Big hugs,

  6. Such an amazing doll. Her pouty lips, long neck and big eyes makes her such a perfect one! Lovely outfit, too!

    1. Thank you Niina. I think her long neck really suits her, not all dolls can look as elegant, perhaps it's the hairstyle which helps her carry it off. :)

    1. I love her Alasse, she has real personality. Once they have all arrived I will take family shots of Evangeline & her crew and one with Ellowyne & her friends. I'm tossing up whether to look for a Rufus once I have found an Amber.
