Business Day

"Meet Penn, Ellowyne's new . . . um? Friend? Look out Rufus, Ellowyne's heart is about to be stolen!"

TONNER STOCK PHOTO

Penn, Business Day was produced by Wilde Imagination in 2015 as a limited edition of 500. He features the Penn head with 17" Matt body. He has dreamy inset cobalt eyes, non-removable wigged mink hair, is  articulated at the elbows, wrists, knees and ankles.

Penn arrived wearing a pale blue button down shirt beneath a smart navy and grey hounds-tooth jacket, with black pants, white socks and black shoes.

I wouldn't say he was in pristine condition as one ankle is looser than the other, but he is worth what I paid for him. Which was less than what he was originally (US$179) and without the costly shipping expense, as he was from my own city. I guess once again, I was lucky to be in the right place, at the right time.

Something about him reminds me of the puppets from the TV series "The Thunderbirds". Does anyone else see the likeness or is it just me? :)

Well although he arrived today (Sunday), I've been rather spoilt this week, aside from Tyler, I also received a further three Tonner dolls; Lizette, Parnilla (Thursday) and Ellowyne (Friday). but photos of those dolls will appear later.

I'm still on the hunt for Amber and maybe Rufus (Ellowyne Wilde) as well as Mortimer (Evangeline Ghastly), but no hurry.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

:) Gracias Maribel.
      Grandes abrazos,

  2. It's fun to see a guy on your blog for a change. His expression looks like a mixture of surprise and awe, and every lady who will be looked at that way would be flattered.

    1. Thank you Mia. It's about time I added another guy, but there are not many male dolls that really appeal or fit into my own stories. I guess they will, but as long as those ladies don't begin fighting over him I'll be happy.:)

  3. Oooh, I didn't even know that there was a male doll in this series! He certainly looks interesting (oh yes, he DOES look a bit like Thunderbirds puppets!), congratulations! This was a good week ;)

  4. And here I am thinking no-one will be old enough to remember them! Oh I agree Linda, I do wish Tonner had given him a surname, but I guess I could always make one up for him. (Penn Tathlon, or Penn Siveness. Hahaha!) It shouldn't be long before the others arrive, probably later this week.
    Big hugs,

  5. I think he's better looking than Rufus as well, and I never liked Rufus' name either. The only Penn I've ever heard of otherwise was Penn Gillette. I'm sure you'll think of a great name for your new guy.

    1. I agree, he is much more handsome Barb, and I haven't decided whether to add him or not yet. I had never heard of the name Penn before. I'll have to check out Penn Gillette. :)
      Big hugs.

    2. I discovered that his last name is spelled Jillette. But as soon as I entered his name with the wrong last spelling in my search, it took right to the correct spelling anyway.

    3. Yes, I found that out myself Barb. :)

  6. Cute! (And before I had even read your post I heard the words "Thunderbirds are go!" in my head.) He is really a good looking male doll. I am loving all the dolls you are showing.

    1. Hi Sam! How lovely to hear from you, it's been a while. :) I can remember watching that series with my kids on a Saturday morning, a long, long time ago. Thank you, I am enjoying Tonner's dolls so much myself.

  8. Oh, Christopher Reeve! That was my first thought but I can see the similarity with the puppets in 'The Thunderbirds'. He is handsome and congrats on getting him.
    Hugs!

  10. That's who he reminded me of - you're right. The Thunderbirds! He looks great though. I like his eyes.

    1. He's much better than he looked on eBay Alasse, and so much better priced here in Australia than in the USA. I am so lucky to have found him here. :)
