When I have more time, I will have to do something about her eyelashes (at least the ones on her left eye or right when you look at her) as they became detached when I was inserting her very stubborn eyes. I did try putting them back on, but without a great deal of success . . . they are on, but they are not sitting as they should.
I thought yellow would be a complimentary colour for her beautiful chocolate resin and when I found a pair of MimiWoo yellow and white shoes amongst my stash which fitted her to perfection, I assumed I was on the right track.
Her outfit was designed by me, made without a pattern and stitched completely by hand. The eight piece outfit is comprised of a 100% Cotton (quilting weight) dress & matching hair band, Cotton Tana Lawn bloomers and over skirt, Supersoft Cotton Interlock arm and leg warmers.
Willowmenia is wearing an Off Black Monique Gold Geneva wig and has brown glass eyes.
Your description of this doll's unwillingness to reveal herself makes me think of that Shinedown song: "I wish you'd open up for me/'cause I wanna know you/Amaryllis!" LOL, I'm positive that she'll open up for you eventually. She certainly is cute and well-dressed!

Hola Xanadú, esta muñeca es bellísima, me encanta su carita pensativa. Normalmente, los nombres de mis muñecas se me ocurren en el momento de verles la cara, yo no reflexiono demasiado. Pero una muñeca tan bonita y especial se merece un buen nombre. Con el tiempo lo descubrirás, seguramente un día de repente aparecerá uno.

Sometimes I find a name for a new doll very quickly, but sometimes it takes time. A couple of years ago I posted some photos of my unamed dolls and let my readers comment name suggestions. This one looks like a Lilly to me.

Yes, I have had this problem before too. As long as she doesn't take to long to tell me her name all will be well. I don't like it when they never reveal their name as it usually means they will leave the nest and find a home elsewhere. Lilly is a lovely name too, my Gran was named Lillian. :)

Her outfit is gorgeous and she looks so lovely in bright colors! Of course, she is such a cute darling too :)! I really like her face, its sweet, but also pensive. In wonder what she is contemplating... Maybe her new name? I was thinking about Mona... for some reason ;)

To Liz she will always be Willowmenia, and somehow the name Mona makes me picture a completely unrelated doll. However, I'm sure when this young lady finishes all her contemplating, she will reveal her name to me.

DeleteHer outfit is very pretty. It's very 'old style' victorian esque feel. I love the yellow colour on her. It offsets that beautiful skintone so well. I get a very summery feel off her in this styling. She's very pretty.
